Looking for a Navi. expert!

What is the final verdict on where I can find a kit to play DVD's on my navi system? I keep hearing about this some type of kit I can buy, but I belive that I cannot hear any sound from the DVD! I'd like to play music videos with picture and sound. Is this even possible???

If anyone has done this please help me out here... I've had no luck finding anything...

Thanks much!

yes man everything you want to do is possible.

to hear sound, you need a BlitzSafe audio adapter for the CL's auxiliary input. its cheap and easy to put in.

to get video... you need a Pioneer RGB-1.

there are a few other options but their more expensive and the vendors suck.

there are some group buys going on for all you need right now.

In Minnesota, you won't be able to do this. It's too cold so it's not allowed. I would wait till it warms up--perhaps in JULY!!!

Thanks, but now let's say...

So now let's say I get the PS2 to work by plugging it in the wall. From your experience how are you guys powering up your PS2's in the car? And where on earth are you putting them? I can't imagine having a PS2 under the seat?

I put the power invertor inside the front center console...as a temporary thing until I could get a power invertor actually installed in the car. For a time I just left the PS2 in the rear center console, but it was annoying and looked cheesy. Also the screen was too small to really play any games, so I figured sckrew it, DVD player and bump music videos and what not.

Thanks for the info, anyone heard of a chip?

I searched Google for the AV-RGB1 and come up with some information about some chip that can use to change out navi systems...probably a bunch of crap, but here is what the guy says.

"THe Answer is YES there is a way to play a DVD in your maping system. A modification chip is needed. I do not know where to purchase this chip to make it posible but I was told DIRECTLY from the Sales Girl that I Lease my car from that a customer had modified his with a chip to play them. So look for the Chip and let us know where to get it. "

Any thoughts on that comment?

Ok, thanks. I did look into that a little further. Before I drop $250 on a $100 converter, I'm going to wait and see what PTALONY comes up with. He mentioned he was going to post something for $50?

In regards to my last message. That quoted message sounded to me like it was a chip that we add to out current navi system to allow it to play a dvd.

What about a OEM intake, get it or not??? Just kidding...

Don't waste your time on this "chip".
