instrument cluster

hey guys i was in the market for the type S cluster, what should i check for when buying it? is there anyway to test that its not damaged or non working? any insight would be great, as i found one for 180, good deal or no?

It works. Are you wanting to switch because of the silver faced type-s gauges? If it were me, I'd crack both of them open, remove your non-types gauges, and replace them with the silver faced gauges from the type-s cluster. That way you don't have any issues with the DPS and with incorrect mileage readings.

TMU will drop your car's value to about half. Seriously. Even if you know exactly how many miles are on it, it doesn't matter.

thanks dick.

to everybody else, cracking both of them open sounds good imight just do that, my first plan was to let it ride until the mileage goes back up to where i am already, cuz i got a boy that does the inspection and was willing to bend the truth a little but thats illegal i guess but yeah im just going to crack them open, so is 180 a good deal?

because he came with a smart witty remark and has no idea what hes talking about, i wouldnt speak unless i was a 100% sure, im sorry but in my book thats a negative comment towards me, telling me its not going to work because i dont have a cl-s, when i do know it does work. i thank you guys for all the help through my cl days but when some jerkoff with 30 posts and autosports or what not in his name says that too me. maybe im wrong but if i really am im sorry for being a dick myself
