Impala SS vs. WRX

I know probably shouldn't post this on this site but what the hey! I recently bought an 06 Impala SS and knew it felt fast. I read the road test reports, even asked if any of you all encountered one, but still wondered just how fast this sleeper really is. Well I got an idea today. I was out for a drive and noticed a WRX jump out into the left lane and coming up fast. So when he got next to me I mashed the gas and easily passed him. He caught up because of a car in front of me and gave me the thumbs down. I got behind him then he stuck his hand out the window with his thumb down again. So with me behind him I notice he has a performance exhaust so he wasn't completely stock. He downshifts and tries to pull on me but the SS was just to quick. I easily caught him and let up so not to hit him. He pulls into the right lane and I get next to him, laugh, point and give him a thumbs down. Mean while he is looking at my car like what the heck is that. He tried pulling on me but he only got to see the SS next to my taillights. I have driven a WRX and know what they are capable of now I know what the Impala SS can do.

I believe the 06 Impala SS is the quickest and fastest Impala ever It smokes the 94-96 SS and the 409 SS's of yesteryear, but I loved the handling of my old 1995 Impala SS, for such a big car. Yeah I had it at the track today autocrossing it. the average time was 44 sec. I averaged 46 sec. completely stock. Not bad considering I was up against smaller cars with better power to weight ratios on a tight track. But I did manage to get it up to 125 mph on the way home. I was following a 04 Z06 and a 04 M3, both of which let me tag along.

does it have something showing the range, or a meter of some kind letting you know your MPG. most newer cars have that.
