Wait this video is saying that the new neon beat a WRX???? By that much too??? Something must have been wrong with that WRX or really freakin heavy. I know those neons are quick but according to that video the neon would have to be runnin like 12's to beat the wrx by that much hahaha
edit:
ok here is what I looked up
Dodge 0-60 5.6 1/4 14.2 STOCK
WRX 0-60 5.8 1/4 14.2 STOCK
So something is wrong with this picture

The race on the video was probably from at least a 50mph roll... so the WRX automatically gives up it's AWD advantage and it's fair game. At that point HP and torque take over and I believe the SRT has the advantage in both categories.

the 1/4mile number you found for the SRT-4 is a bit high....weve seen timeslips already showing 14.0....some people will definately be able to get that thing in the 13's STOCK....
mag racing is bad we all know that....remember all the mags that rate the altima the fastest FWD car ever?? or how about the article showing the CL-S does 15.3

I understand that I am looking at stand still magazine times but I think they are fairly accurate and usually use them as a very close approximate for comparo's.
Even if the torque curves in the favor of the Neon at 50MPH I still don't see the WRX getting dusted like that. I mean if you watch that video it was like he just got left behind. No challange at all. That is why I was saying weight must have had something to do with it. Two people vs. 1 in the car. Maybe a heavy system or something?
Cause if the WRX got dusted that bad that neon passing a CLS would be like a ferrari going by us and we all know it wouldn't be that bad even with our Vtech power :shakehd:

Very fucking impressive, that SRT rocks......so much potential its not even funny.
Also, there were 3 people in that SRT if I wasn't dreaming (not bad at all).

Oh it's a smoker and a pretty yellow too! My neighbor has one and he and the WRX owners in my building are planning on racing when the weather breaks, this one I want to see for myself.

SRT-4's are FAST.. no questions asked..
Mopar has dealer WARRENTIED kits for $1400 that increases 75hp from stock..
stage1.
i like the awd but if you want speed for less $.. its srt4..
..i like the suby overall though.

But at a highway roll like that, the suby has extra weight from the AWD stuff and more drivetrain loss from the AWD. These two factors hurt more and more as speed increases. I also dont know how different the gearing is. Is the SRT4 5 or 6 speed? Aerodynamics also plays a big part at those speeds .. I'm sure they were in excess of 100mph. What are the drag coefficients of the two cars? The neon looks to me to be a little more aerodynamic than the wrx.
Oh and one more thing. Our cars have VTEC. Not Vtech, not V-tech, or V-TEC, or vtec ..

they arent like our stock tires. I'm pretty sure either the 03's or 04's came stock on BGF KDW-2's, straight ultra high performance summer tires. These will be my tires for next summer.

Heres the wrx
0-30: 2
0-40: 3.2
0-50: 4.5
0-70: 8.6
0-80: 10.8
0-90: 13.5
0-100: 15.5
0-110:
0-120: 25.2
and then the srt
0-30: 2.3
0-40: 3.4
0-50: 4.5
0-70: 7.5
0-80: 9.1
0-90: 11
0-100: 13.8
0-110: 16.8
0-120: 20
You can see, after the cars hit 50, the tide switches to the srt pulling away.
