Goin' to the track tonight

I'm headin' to NED this evening. We'll see if I can do any better than the last time (in my sig). It's a balmy 87 degrees out, with 33% humidity (the readings are not far from the track, so I'll assume the track conditions will be pretty similar, though a few degrees cooler by 06:00, when racing starts).

Thanks. I would rather it be cooler, but it's dry, and I haven't been in a couple months, so I'm freakin' goin'!

It would be crowded like can of sardine.

I hate waitng in the lines... I want to go on a staurday either at 9:00 AM or before closing at 4:00 PM!... I love back-to-back runs.

Now I got a call from Sunnyside Acura, The ordered parts, door arm rest, and the seat's back adjuster (motor), are in... and would be installed next Tuesday,

Ah.. I hate driving my CLS when I cannot adjust my seat!

It wasn't too crowded tonight. I've definitely been there when the wait between runs is well over an hour. Of course, I might have gotten another run if two assclowns hadn't dumped shit all over the track in the first 30-45 minutes.

Major disappointment!! I think it was too damn hot, but I don't know for sure. I took out the spare, jack, and tools, as I've done every time I've gone to the track. I had much more gas in the tank than I wanted (1/2-tank), but that shouldn't account for that much of a difference. I gate shifted, as usual. The worst E/T (15.018...4th run) was a result of spinning through 1st gear.

There were about 6 million Mustangs there tonight. But, I beat a mid-'80s 5.0 on my second run. No other CLs, but a few Type Rs, and a handful of Del Sols. An S2K beat me on run #3 (14.535 to 14.747). A couple Vettes (Z06, and an older one), a Viper (13.9 at 103, I believe). SOme cat was sprayin' in a Camry, but I don't know what he ran. There was an SRT-4, runnin, low14s at 99 MPH. It was good to be at the track again, but I expected better results. Oh, well...our cars hate the heat, as do most cars, and it was pretty warm today.

I don't feel like scanning these in tonight, but maybe I will later.

Nashua, where did you get those temps?

I ask because weather.com always says 73 degrees yet I get to the car outside and it says 96! Even after it cools down its still high 80s. Pete, I would think a Sat morning would be best!

It was like 93 on my Outside Temp gauge right before my second run...it was pretty damn warm last night...a lot warmer than Portsmouth, which is on the ocean.

Saturday morning, or April/October.
