Digital Cameras... HELP

I kinda want one bad... anyone have any advice?
i'm looking into the Digital Elph series... either the S10 S100 or S20.

these things are crazy expensive...so, are there any do's and don'ts when buying one?
also, anyone know maybe a good place online to buy one?

thanks.

Things to think about...

-Aperture settings
-Ability to have external lenses
-Resoloution 3.1 mega pixels or better
-Flash cards
-Shutter speed

Thats a few things to look out for. After looking all over at reviews and prices, I went with the Kodak DC4800. IMO its the best bang for your buck.

Go to www.steves-digicams.com for some good info. They have pro and user reviews of many, many models.

get an olympus cam, any of the 2000 or 3000 series and you'll be fine for a long time.

I personally own the 2020z, which is a very versatile camera; theres aftermarket zoom/wideangle lenses, flashes too for this camera which is sweet..

I bought mine online for ~500 last spring and it's still fetching that price, maybe more..

but the 3000 series are the new updated ones that can make quicktime (*.movs) with sound and more!
Clpower has one (and mdaniel too) and you can check out the posts of his pics almost everywhere on this board using search

I want to buy a new digital camera also, but my sister has a new sony digital camcorder so I think it's kind of wasting money to do so. Should I buy it anyway, please help.

I have a Sony DSC-S70...

Love everything about it... EXCEPT... it takes crazy long to take a picture from the time you press the button. About 2 seconds.

So its hard to catch action footage.

Apart from that... great camera.
