VA State troopers undercover car

As i was drving back from JMU today, I saw 2 more VA state troopers in chevy impala's. The ones w/ the round taillight. I thought those cars were pretty slow. Any ways just want everyone in VA to watch out for Blue Chevy Impala's cause they might be undercover state troopers.

Anything faster than 120 or 130 needs a helicopter anyway.

Must be pretty tuff livin' in VA w/o a radar detector, eh?

I wonder what kinda times these Impala police cruisers are capable of...Definitely some sort of built V8, I'd imagine. Anybody know?

State troopers in NC will be using Camaros. Haven't seen one yet.

City cops in my area are using SUVs...Expeditions.

So....Watch out on I-40,I-85 & I-95.

They are all V6 engines with a few tweaks. It's like the S version of an Impala. I have an article from last year at home, I'll let you guys know what I find.

oklahoma city news media were reporting last week about a "late model impala" involved in a high speed pursuit. turns out the guy was running a modified mid-90's impala ss and hit 140mph on the turnpike, as clocked from a police helicopter.

Old saying goes "you can't outrun a motorola"

FWIW: SC State Troopers have lots of marked Z28 pursuit vehicles, several unmarked ones , and 2 or 3 540i's courtesy of the boyz from Munich . In other words, they're a bunch of sneaky bastards, especially at the end of the month when quota time rolls around Oh, not to mention 2 VASCAR equipped planes for air survilence...

That's some well funded police department. That's where all our tax dollars are wasted on.

not an easy thing to do when u have 260hp w/ headers/springs/sways. Im like always flooring my car and taking corners and exit ramps like I'm being chased. You certianly didn't help :P j/k

Since SC gave BMW millions in tax breaks and incentives to build the manufacturing plant in Greer, they were freebies I'm sure
