Any Help--> Car for $24K and under
Any Help--> Car for $24K and under
Ok one of my good friends is getting his license in a few weeks. He is looking for a car that is fairly quiet, fairly quick, and looks nice. HAs to keep it about $24K and under. His brother got the Honda Accord EX-V6 last summer so he doesn't want that.
I was in the same situation about 2.5 years ago and bought the alero but I don't think that would be good for him now.
Also New Car:
I suggested RSX/RSX Type S
G20t
Celica GT-S
Any other help.

Some options:
VW GTI 1.8T
RSX
2003 Tiburon (if it comes out in time)
Ford Focus SVT (if it comes out in time)
Honda Civic Si (if it comes out in time)
Left-over 2001 Prelude (if there still are any)
Mazda MP3 (not as fast but handles like it's on rails)
Sentra SE-R Spec V
Those would be a good start in the price range you're looking for. I've read good things about the SVT Focus, the Tiburon, and the MP3.
One review of the Spec V was disappointing. The GTI 1.8T apparently flies (seen as low as 6.9 to 60mph).
Lots out there to choose from.

G20's a nice car, but completely outclassed by almost anything out there now.. Even Nissan's own Sentra can smack it around.
A coworker of mine got a great deal on a 2002 Maxima SE, just around the 24k mark. If you can stand the looks, it's a keeper.

Still think the Alero is best foir this--> Mine was $23K then I got bigger rims, wider tires, sways, ECU Upgrade for another $4K
Car goes to 60 in mid 7s and is quiet too. Great first car, and I really beat the shit out of it. And it takes everything. But he doesn't want one.
BTW the new TIbourn looks great does anyone hae any news on it
