Weird sound
Weird sound
I had lowered my tsx with Tanabe's DF210 for about 3 months and now when ever i go into a driveway and hit the curb, my car will have some "knock knock" sound from the rear (trunk) and my trunk is empty. It sounds like there're some metal things which rolls in the trunk. BUT when i go over curbs slowly (within 3km) it'll be normal without making any sound..
What do u guys think? Shoud i take it back to the dealer and check it? will the warrenty cover if they've to replace parts for my suspention since i put aftermarket springs? will there be problems with my bearing??
BTW : i hit a curb during corner 2 months ago.. dunno if it's related or not.

yeah i'll take my car to the dealership next week and check everything out..
i've heard that after u install after springs u should go do the alignment again.. is this true? i haven't do anythng except oil change after lowering..

Yes you do need to have an alignment after lowering. You should also have a camber kit installed on the rear to get the camber back in spec. I think Xizor is right about the springs making the noise.
i definitely needs a camber kit, my rear tires are wearing out really fast and un-evenly..
alignment will cost some Gz again.. -_-... where should i do it? is there any GOOD and cheap places?

If you're on the west end I know a really good shop. Cost me a little over $100 the last time I had one. Whatever you do, take it to a place that has computer controlled equipment. Manual alignments are not worth it.
Don't hold me to that price but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere between $100 and $125. It was a little over a year ago when I still had my VW.
The shop is called Oakville Tire Service Ltd & Auto Centre
905-847-6000
1050 South Service Road West,
Oakville, ON
L6L 5T7
Give them a shout and ask for a quote. If you decide to go with them, you'll need to book an appointment because they're pretty busy. I've had them do some other work in the past and they do a really excellent job. They're not the cheapest out there but I don't mind paying for quality service.

alighn + adjust camber = 80 bucks tax in... they do good work (at least this location) all
the AJ guys take their cars there.. so u might wana give ur local OK Tire a call...
they were busy but they did it on the spot too... didn't have to make appointment

that's why i was in and out in 30 min.. if i had a balljoint one it woulda taken
