replaced batter ..no start

i have an 04 tsx my car recently has been having trouble starting ..it takes usually 3 or 4 times for it to actually start. i went to advanced auto and they ran the test and told me indeed the battery was bad, but everything else (starter, altenator, etc.) was fine..I just put a rebuilt battery, got it for 30bucks with a 1year warrenty, in today and still no start, it doesnt crank at all, radio, ac/heat all work, just no start...any ideas?? thank you in advance

will they take back the battery? I never knew there was a such thing as a rebuilt battery. Most of the time when you buy electrical items like that they are unreturnable.

that would lead me to believe its the starter.

or if the battery doesnt have enough "juice" to start the car.

actually i did hit the starter with a crowbar (spelling?lol) But it cranked over n finally started, i let the car run for about a half hour and turned it off and back on and it started again....i let the car sit over night and tried today around 3pm and the car took a second then started right up...i turned it off and it started right up!! I drove around a little bit today and the car starts right up now.
i dont know if the starter got stuck from me trying to start the car so many times and it not working or what, but everything is fine now..knock on wood lol ... hopefully i wont need to replace the starter then

I had the same issue with my 2004 TSX. It had trouble starting and as the weeks went on it got harder and harder to start... Eventually I had to have it towed home from school and my dad changed the starter. Starts like a brand new car, every time! =)

At first i did dallison's method but eventually the starter broke down and wouldn't even crank. Ended up replacing the starter which was a PITA because its located under the manifold.
