a pain in the ass. it took me and friend about 6 hours. the hardest part is running the freakin wires.
i would recommend if you want edfc - then install it before you install the coilovers.
the back was a pain in the ass to get the motor on - b/c you have to screw down a screw thats in the middle of the motor. so if you want to install after you already have the coilovers on - makes sure you have a low profile right angle flathead screwdriver.
you have to remove a ton of panels. omg. i didn't want to take pics - my car looked like a nightmare - plus we were trying to get it done quickly.
i ended up putting it in the large compartment in the center console. i haven't decided if i want to velcro or use a bracket to hold down the edfc. the mat that comes inside the compartment hold the edfc fine tho. until you want to press some buttons - i'll probably install the bracket sometime soon.
running the wires from the firewall is a pain too. my friend did the wiring, poor guy haha. it's a hell of alot eaiser to go through the passenger side.
i messed something up during install tho - in the larger compartment - there was some kind of plastic that felt like it could be twisted or pryed off. i ended up prying it off - too bad it was a lens for the green light inside the compartment. oh well. it worked out - b/c i didnt have to drill any holes to run the wires - we just ran it through the opening left by the lamp haha.
if anyone needs the color codes for the wires that you need to splice into, let me know. you'll need constant power, parking light wire and accessory power.
another
moment - make sure you run the wire UNDER the seatbelt in the rear. haha. oops.
my setup is super clean. the instructions are easy. basically - remove some hardware from the existing strut. replace it w/ some new hardware - dont turn the strut upside down or something wil fall out?!!?
then install the motor. wire it up.
bam! then you'll see this!!!!

Sup dzuy, im a noob to this EDFC and suspension stuff...but in terms of getting an EDFC, did u change your entire suspension like coilovers, shocks, springs? What would you need to get the EDFC to work efficiently?

many people replace just the springs - but having a lowering spring on a stock shock is ok for short term - but eventually the stock shock will blow and will result in a very bouncy ride.
installing a complete coilover system is also easier than installing aftermarket lowering springs - this is because you can remove the whole strut assembly and install the new coilover system. as opposed to a spring where you have to remove the strut - then compress the stock spring - remove the spring - install new springs - reinstall strut.
also a complete coilover setup, such as tein or buddy club - has shocks that are designed to withstand a lowered ride height.
the coilovers that i have, tein flex - feauture ride height adjustability - as well as rebound/dampening adjustment. what that basically boils down to is you can set how soft/stiff you want your ride to be.
obviously - if you plan to take corners fast (like in a road course), then you will want to adjust the ride to be stiffer. for everyday driving - you don't want the ride to be too harsh so a softer setting would be appropiate.
this can be done by turning a knob on the top of the tein coilovers.
the edfc - electronic dampening force controller - does this for you. you have to install some motors on top of the knob of the coilover - then you can control how soft or stiff you want your ride to be inside your car.
there are three memory settings - so you can preset three different combinations of dampening.
Wow... dzuy, you got serious mods on your ride!!! I wasn't aware of this one as I joined just 2 months ago and now this thread from Dec '04 is revived so I just found out

So I guess you use the stiffest damping setting for drag runs?

yeah i love my edfc when you want to have fun with the car and dont care about how bad the ride is push a button for full stiff and then when you want comfort push another button so easy. now i just have to get the proper spring rates since i have the springs for the euror and not the tsx and mine are softer so the ride is never really that stiff. anyone want to trade.
