I did mine with the blackout tape a little more than three months ago and I am thinking of taking it off or redoing it because it is starting to look bad. I am starting to see the chrome again around the edges almost as if the tape is shrinking up. I really liked how mine looked when I first put in on though.
Good Luck

I did a write up on this somewhere on the forum.

Pretty much take your time. I bought two rolls off Amazon and it was enough to do my entire car with enough to cover one extra door.

Make sure the surface is CLEAN before you apply the tape, any particles will cause the tape to look uneven.

The thread on cardomain isn't exactly how I did it, there's an easier way (found out when I took the tape off). Line the tape up to the bottom of each chrome panel (Top and bottom). The top side you can pull apart the foam / rubber trim allowing you to easily wrap, conceal, and secure the tape, just insert it back in.

The bottom side, I just rolled down my windows and tucked the tape away between the chrome and the rubber seal (after a summer and a winter some of it started to raise out and peel).

Be careful not to cut your car, and don't peel and reapply. It took about 2 hours to do the TSX correctly for me. Let me know if you have any questions.

I had the same problem. Checked out this post. Called the dealership and told him about my problem and what I read here. He got me in 15min. Got my car 1hour later and the squeek was gone. The guy told me that its a routine thing now.
