Windshield Sun Shield/Screen

I've done a bit of looking around and can't find anything talking directly about this, so here goes...

I can't find a sun screen/shield that fits well. I've looked around all the local places and purchased a couple of them.

I tried the accordian type that is is just too wide. I had to get the large so it would be long enough (still huge hole around mirror) but I have to fold the ends in b/c it's too wide.

I tried the twist to fold round ones and they too didn't fit well enough. I spoke with somebody at my dealership that told me the parts department had fitted screens. Some new guy at the parts counter looked at me like I was crazy.

My buddy has a new RX-8 and Mazda had a perfetly fitted visor for it. I'm a perfectionist and want the same for my TSX.

Anybody had any luck?

wooddash.com has one you can order. I checked with the dealer parts dept. and he was going to ask their distributor about one specifically for the TSX but they did not have any in stock.

hondacuraworld.com has sunshades from the same company (Into-Tech) listed for the Pilot and the Element for $7 cheaper than wooddash.com shows them for the TSX. Perhaps HAW will carry them for the TSX if enough people drop them a line requesting it.

I emailed HAW and they replied saying they have the shades in stock now. I called and ordered one ($35.95 total) and it's going out today. They have great customer service

I got a cheap accordian type sunshield from Wall-Mart. Plastic thingy sorta like stiff bubble wrap covered in foil. The "large" size seems to fit the TSX. Can't recall what brand name it had on it, it was only $8.00.

I just bought a sun shade Made by Covercraft (www.covercraft.com). It fits perfectly. I tried generic shades and all were too big or too small. I have had a Covercraft shade for my BMW for 6 years now and have been pleased with it. Their website will direct you to retailers. They are made to order from patterns specific to each vehicle.

I bought a fitted sun shade/screen at my dealer's parts department... It rolls up and has a velcro strap intead of having the "accordion" type of sun shade/screen. I love it because it fits exactly to the windshield...plus it keeps my car's interior so much cooler than not having one.

I noticed yesterday the Home Depot sells the same bubble/foil stuff I mentioned above in large sizes as a "water heater jacket". If you were so inclined, you could use that to custom-make your own. Slap a couple of Mugen stickers on it and woohoo, mod city.
