TSX owners, If you could replace your car..
with something else, what would it be?
Reason i ask is that my buddy is looking for a 4 door car with navi and leather for around 20-24k. He found a few TSX that he really likes for around 30k miles. Is there anything he should be aware of while looking at used ones?
Are most of you happy with the tsx or wish you bought somthing else instead?

I like the TSX sometime, but then some days I hate it.

Car seems like a bargain when used even. Leather with navi and such for around 20-24k is hot for a 2004 model.

Me, I got bored of my 04 AT TSX so I replaced it with an 06 MT TSX.
Honestly, I drove so many cars when I wanted to get back into the MT and nothing really impresses me as much as the TSX. A few cars came close, but none of them were enough to actually beat out the TSX on what mattered the most to me.

But, I would buy it. Not a bad car, just needs RWD and more power

Speaking of which, when i open my sunroof... the car then decides to close it.
My car thinks of my health and doesnt want me to catch a cold.

Yeah, what has kept me away from Audi so far is it's atrocious reliability reputation. It has steered me into buying the TSX, and at this day I would probably repeat with another TSX if I had to.

Guessing the TSX doesnt have issues with their autotranny?

Sounds like your asking 2 different questions here. If I were to replace my TSX, trying to fit your critera of a 4 door car with navi and leather, I would take the TSX again.
But, if I were to replace my car right now, it would be a G35C...Though it might be possible next year for me to replace the TSX with an RDX...

If speed isn't a concern then I can't think of a better choice. Its stylish, handles extremly well, good on gas and reliable. You'll find that 99% of TSX cmplaints are power related.

The TSX is a great value for the money you're putting down. If you need a car that offers the luxuries of the TSX, then ya, you'd have to stick with maybe the A4 2.0T, IS250, 325i, and maybe the C230. But then again, you'd be paying a lot more to get the car to the TSX's level.
Me, I'm actually going to trade my car in for an Evo before the year is over.

If I were to replace the TSX right now, I'd get the 06 TSX if money were a consideration.....or an Enzo if money and family needs were not. The TSX is such a rewarding car.
Curious, is anyone considering trading up to a 3G TL once they're done with the TSX?

But that does seem like the upgrade path for alot of former TSX owners. Lured by more power.

Although there's part of me seeing myself "graduate" into a 330i when/if a ZHP becomes available, my morning commute today made me think of the TL. You see, my back has been troubling me and the TSX is actually turning out to be alot more rough for my tastes lately. For once, I was craving a quieter, smoother, automatic car.
Oh well, until that day comes, I'm in denial. The TSX is less rough considering our Integras we came from. I guess I'm turning into a wuss that will have RL aspirations soon.... :theghey:

Tell him to get a TSX. I searched for months and I couldn't find a combination of great features, reliability, resale value, and all-around fun like I see in the TSX.
If he's not looking for a super fast car and his taste is more toward a smaller car with goodies, tell him to check out the '05 Mazda3 SP23 or the '06 Mazda3 Grand Touring (pretty much the same thing, they just changed the name). Leather, heated seats, six disc, xenon headlights, moonroof, curtain airbags, available navi, very fun to drive, etc. You could get a brand new one fully loaded with navi for under $24K. A nice little car. I drove a couple and came pretty close to getting one, but the TSX won me over with its more upscale feel, a few extra features, and the Acura name/reputation/reliability/resale.
