There is no car in the TSX's class that I would trade for. Absolutely tell him to jump on that TSX. 30K miles on a Honda engine is nothing.

If money was no object, I'd be all over the CLS55 AMG or the new Sclass but I won't be driving one of those anytime soon.

Anyways I drove an 06 TSX tonight, automatic.

My thoughts.

Pros
Beautiful interior- everything is nicely layed out.
Firm steering - unlike any other acura I driven.. almost can say german feeling.
Handling- pretty damn nimble for fwd but I didnt get to push it too hard.
Quiet cabin - (most new cars are though)
Front seats - Love them, Very comfortable with sporty support to keep you in place.
Backseats - Pretty damn roomy! I think i might have to say its bigger than my A4
Xenon- WOW those are bright and have a wide range!
Navi - interface is great compared to my dads 02 RL. I was blown away on how quickly is calculated directions! It sure has came a long way since the RL navi my dad has.

Cons
WHERE IS THE FUCKING POWER? Dear God, the sales guy told me to punch it since its pirvate land and i swear my moms 98 Altima can beat this car! How the hell can any of you guys drive this thing and try to merge on the highway? I mean I always thought the stock 1.8t had no guts at all but thank you for proving how awsome the 1.8t/2.0t engines are. I know, apples to oranges but when comparing my cars price to this one.. its worth to compare. Only thing my car didnt have that the TSX did was navi. Yes I know reliablity is a big factor for most TSX owners which I can understand and I will never argue that Audi is better in that department.

I think thats all I can think of. In the end I was impressed with the car more than i thought I would be. Now bring on that turbo tsx.

Not that I would ever switch...but, say if I had to then I'd go with a used 04 Evo they are right in that price range your buddy is looking in?

Not sure what you trying to say. 330i ZHP would murder a TSX if both were auto.

1/4 times already prove that.

Evo is totally the wrong direction than the TSX. He wants something thats class with leather, navi, comfy ride, etc...

Not raw power.

For the price... there's no comparison. If i had a choice i might try out the new lexus IS 350. That sounds like a sweet car. Maybe even a TL. But after having the TL loaner the other day, i still say there's no comparison between that and the TSX. The TSX just feels so much more nimble. The TL although handled well, felt like it was heavier. I have yet to try the IS 350. I bet it's got tons of power, but probably feels heavy as well. I still say TSX though. Maybe a few HP and torque mods and it'll be perfect. But it's pretty perfect as it is now.

Are most of you happy with the tsx or wish you bought somthing else instead?
I love my TSX, but I'd love a E90 330i with SP, MT, xenons, leather. Instead, I'm saving cash and doing some mods to the TSX. I do see a Bimmer in my future sometime down the road.

Get fawkin real Jesal. A 1.8T A4 is slower compared to a TSX MT vs MT. The AT TSX may be slightly slower but not by much and certainly not enough to wonder how you can merge onto the highway.

Highway merging was just a joke...
But on a highway run, i will bet the 1.8t stock would pull away. TSX needs more torque.of course i forget to mention we have 4 adult men in the car while driving the tsx

Are you smoking Jesal, the TSX blows the 1.8t away. 0-60, 0-100, 0-150, and the 1/4 mile are all taken by the TSX...

TSX/1.8T

0-100 mph 19.9 23.7

0-150 mph 33.7 40.2

rolling 5-60 mph 7.9 9.4

Of course a chipped 1.8 changes things.

They must have extrapolated because all of the vehicles compared have a top speed of less than 150mph.

Then I'd have to say tell him go w/ used IS or C class if all he's after is luxury. I'd have to say the TSX is much more of a deal than those two, cause you can get a used TSX 04+05 for around the same range of a used MB, BMW or Lexus(but they would be an 01-04 model)

Skip both the IS and the C. The C-classes apparently are a maintenance nightmare and the IS interior is tiny and ugly.

The TSX, for the money he's looking to spend, is the best choice if he wants a more premier mark.

Well, since I am the one wanting the car, I guess I will say this.

Yes the TSX had 4 adult males in the car. All of us are 180 lbs. +
Yes I am looking for a sporty/luxury like car.
Yes I want navi.
Yes I want leather.
Yes I want something stylish.
Yes I want automatic.

No I don't care totally about engine size or high torque.
No I don't care about brand name.

When it came down to it, the TSX seemed to fit the profile. I wouldn't go as far to say that it has no power. I mean for me, it's more than sufficient. I also have heard only good things about Acura navi and I do want navi.

And FYI, coming off of a 330ci right now, the new 3 series looks like complete shit to me. The ONLY BMW that I would buy now is the new 750 and that's not going to happen anytime soon.

Hmm. I wonder where the power was, too with FOUR 180 lbs adults?

btw - I never said the TSX was faster than the 330i. My point was the 325 / 330i aren't exactly world beaters with an AT, but still well-rounded cars.
