Yes I want automatic.

No I don't care totally about engine size or high torque.
No I don't care about brand name.

When it came down to it, the TSX seemed to fit the profile. I wouldn't go as far to say that it has no power. I mean for me, it's more than sufficient. I also have heard only good things about Acura navi and I do want navi.

And FYI, coming off of a 330ci right now, the new 3 series looks like complete shit to me. The ONLY BMW that I would buy now is the new 750 and that's not going to happen anytime soon.
Get the TSX. I LOVE mine... and I bet if I had the navi, I'd love it even more.

If I were to replace my TSX today, I'd go with a G35x...possibly a G35c

If I could replace my TSX and had the money to upgrade I'd go with the 2006 BMW 330i. For similar money that I spent I would get the TSX again (probably 6MT this time, but still no navi).

Saw a 325 with sport package last night. Must have had on 18's. Just gorgeous.

I think i'd go with a S4 right now, I need AWD, and that 340 horspower V8 just sings.

I would love an S4 too, you can drive it all season, it's practical due to 4 drs, and plus it has the power too! I just don't have $50K

How much is a used S4 like 2003, 2004, and 2005?

You can get an 04 for around 39K, not bad, considering I like the 04 better than the 05

I'm surprised that noone has mentioned the Mazdaspeed6.

Last month, I was on my way to visit the Acura dealer to trade my 04 TSX AT for an 06 TSX MT NAV, but I stopped by the Mazda dealer to check out the MazdaSpeed6, and ended up taking one home. Incredible power. Great handling. Its interior is not as refined as the TSX, and it's not a luxury nameplate, but IMHO, it's a competitive alternative.

The mazdaspeed6 was one car I considered, but it depreciated way too quickly. Not worth the hit I would take.

Yeah, that is one advantage the TSX holds over its competitors: high resale.

I had looked at the 330 when I bought my CLS... After seeing the MSRP climb up to around 40K, I stopped thinking about it...

A slightly used 330 might work for me...

Dunno if a CPO 330 or even private sale would be the way to go. Before I even considered the TSX, the 330i ZHP was #1 on my list. I noticed that with BMW, prices are VERY seasonal and timing is everything. The only reason why I considered buying a brand new 330i was due to marketing incentives during that time that brought their prices below CPO terrirtory! Man, were the bimmerforum members pissed.

After I threw in the towel trying to find a 6-spd manual in Orange County, the TSX was my consilation prize. :silvercup

If I was in a mood for...

fun, then it would be an M3
semi-practical + sport, G35 coupe
road tripper, 04+ TL
speed, an 05+ GTO (don't flame me for this; aussie car after all)
best overall value, still is the TSX which is why I bought it
