Mt/at $$$

acura-news doesn't show the TSX prices yet, but does show a lot of the other stuff...

The ONLY reference I can find to whether they will charge more for AT vs MT in '05 looks like it could easily be a typo...

Any NEW news on whether AT will cost more in '05?

truth or typo?

From a press release on www.acuranews.com:

"Since many performance enthusiasts prefer shifting gears themselves, the TSX comes with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission or a compact 5-speed Sequential SportShift TM automatic transmission for an additional cost."

Here's the whole thing:

One of the changes is simple...put the RSX 210 hp motor in the TSX, cheaper for them, more horses for us...

But that motor has a lot less torque - HP alone won't do squat.

Didn't they post prices on 10/1 last year?

This is sort of exciting but I'm disappointed that someone on here wasn't able to come up with the scoop BEFORE Acura released it to the public.

I guess you've all got a few more days at least.

Is anyone else just getting plain tired of waiting for acura to come out with 2005 tsx info??!! My acura dealer always gives me the run-around when I ask about when I can put in an order....even though they WILL take a deposit now! LOL (yeah...like im gonna give them money when there is no info about the car REALLY out there!) It seems as if every other car manufacturer is crazily trying to get rid of their 2004's bc 2005's are already on their lots. I mean...the 2004 TSX has been around since late 2003??! And from what ive heard-acura has had no problems selling the TSX AND there are sooo many people (like myself) that have been patiently waiting for the 2005 (im sooooo excited to get milano red/ebony interior and XM Satellite Radio!). Sorry-just needed to rant-It was supposed to be my college grad present and my dad wants to wait until the 2005's are out......im getting soooo impatient!!!! Anyone feel the same??? Just curious

Actually the 04's have been out since early 2003. April 2003 to be exact so that fact that the 05's are coming out so late is definently puzzling.

That's great of your parents...even if I had millions in the bank, I don't think I would pay for my child to drive such a sweet NEW car.

When I graduated college I got a big pat on the back and the want-ad section of the paper - that was on top of paying for college myself.

Anyone want to hear me bitch some more?

Not really, since I have my TSX already

just thought i should add that i don't technically get to drive my new car until i get a full time job (which i have been endlessly going on interviews for since may) so i can pay for insurance, gas, maintenance etc....so i totally don't get off....i am eternally greatful that my dad will pay the price of a nice car like the tsx but it will prob be my car for like the next 20 years...LOL! AND im sooo glad there are other frustrated people out there!!! it makes me feel a bit better

Why would that be - this is the normal time of the year for the new MY to come out. The TSX coming out in April was a fluke.

Don't new MY's arrive at dealers by Septemeber? All signs point to the TSX arriving in October-Noveneber which is late IMO, especially for a car thats been out almost a year and a half.

It's definitely late.. It's not like there's going to be that many changes on the car either.

maybe issues selling off all the 04s? They are maybe predicting, it's going to take until October to sell their 04s.

I do know my local dealership that historically has only gotten 3-4 TSXs a month (2-3 already pre-sold) has two that have been on the lot for about a month. ABP/auto/navi, and a PWP/auto/non-navi. Before now, I have not seen any sit on the lot for longer than a week maybe two.

I really think more and more people would rather wait for a 2005....especially if acura dealers aren't gonna really give possible 04 purchasers good deals on the car-they will prob go to another kind of car in which a dealer will give an amazing price.

November 26th

I just got back from Acura of the Desert. I went to check out the RSX, they're ok. So this lady comes up to me and I ask her if she knows when the 05 TSX will be coming out, she said that it should be around the 26 of November. I don't know if I can wait this long...

It is definitely tough wating for the '05 to come out, but it is allowing me to save up a lot more money for down payment, thus reducing monthly payments... I keep telling myself that just so I can make it to November.

November???

Man...that just doesn't seem right considering the limited # of things they're adding.

Have they stopped production of '04's yet?

Is it possible that an automaker would allow a significant gap in supply between model years to the degree that dealers won't have anything to sell for a time???

Acura is waiting for us 05 waiters to just give up and go for left over 04s. Don't do it.. it seems like they keep extending it.

my acura dealer told me the cg 6 speed black interior navigation will be here november 11th and they also said it could be 2 weeks before that date and 2 weeks after that date so its starting to really get to me having so many parts sitting here and no car to install them on for this much longer, david

November 15 launch in Canada

I was at my local dealership Tuesday night and I was shown a memo which stated that the 2005's were to be launched November 15th. They had prices and spec but no brouchures yet.

I don't think we'll see it today. So far they've only released 2005 RL pricing.

The only reason I can see Acura holding up the pricing on the 2005 TSX models is because the new pricing is going to be about the same the 2004 models, and they want to give more time for the dealers to get the remainder of those old models sold before annoucing the new pricing.

I guess our "prediction" was wrong Kenji. Something to think about as I wait, and wait some more. I wonder what car make/model/year in history was sold the longest under the same model year designation. (not counting those half year designated cars)

There was a Corvette that was introed as the next MY in like Feb or March of the previous year. I think it would be in the 18-19 months range (about the same as the TSX)

I don't have the numbers in front of me but the car was up about 500 cdn but the delivery charge was 50% higher and the automatic tranny was 1000.00 more.... all in CDN $ and with the large change in exchange the last year this may or may not reflect US pricing changes.

Dalma,
Was that memo on the dealerships letterhead? I wonder if they're just speculating high knowing if they lower the price you'll be fine with that (or hope you're ignorant and will over-pay). If that official info had already reached dealers, I think several of our "sources" here would have already reported it.

Like I said, the only reason I can see that Acura would withhold the '05 TSX MSRP is if it's going to be about the same as the '04 models -- else why not release the price increase because that would help sell the remaining '04s.
