Seems like the '05 isn't any better with the small additions that they made. If there was some memory seats in there, I think I would be waiting. Hopefully there are some good leftovers on the lot that they are willing to deal with!!!
What are you finding for prices on '04 TSXs?? NAVI or w/o NAVI???

I actually haven't checked prices yet, we were considering waiting until Jan (the Mini is changing around then), but it seems that the price is about $800 off of MSRP in my area. It's like when I bought the G35, they don't want to budge much!!

Everyone relax. We ordered a 2005 TSX in July on the first day that the dealer was able to place an order. About mid August the dealer called and confirmed that Acura had the order in their system and that it would be made around Nov 10 and we could expect delivery the end of Nov. I don't think Acura has delayed anything. We were told all along not to expect to 2005 TSX until after the release of the RL since it was completely redesigned. As to the pricing, we think the 2005 will be within $200 of the 2004, but it looks like they will charge a little more for the automatic due to the language they used in some of their press releases. My son is certainly looking forward to getting it. Right now he is driving a Jeep Wrangler. Imagine going from that to a TSX!!!

Hmm, so they may up the price on the TSX??!! Seems like a bad move. If they up it enough, it will make me take my business somewhere else. That fully loaded Accord is looking better and better, and it has a 240hp V6!!!!

The price increase my reflect changes that critics have thrown at the TSX, eg added heated side mirrors.

Like a few hundred $ on a 26K car will really make a diff.
With the late arrival of the 05 TSX, it seems like the 04 TSX will have one of the longest MY runs of any car - about 20 months!

The Acura website, as of this moment, still has Mr. Leftover 2004 TSX, as opposed to all the other models with MY2005 versions. Although the RL has been released, note the prominently featured link that states "RL Launch Party, November 8-12, 2004,Click here to learn more (about why the TSX is still stuck on 2004 MY)". Well, sorta. Something rather strange about waiting so long to release the MY version, pricing info, etc. From past experience, I hope this doesn't presage the TSX becoming an "orphan vehicle" eventually. Not right away, but it smacks of a lack of commitment or enthusiasm from Acura. I done seen it before, friends ... Not from Acura, but from other manufacturers.
Oh, I hear it now, "It can't be" "look how popular it is" "no way!". Way. Maybe.

What do you mean ... you've described the whole acura line approach except maybe for the TL last few years.

Great/Potentially Great cars that were left to go rotten on the vine without meaningful updates for years or even decades:

Integra 2&4 door (80s tech forever !)
NSX (no system X-formation)
CL (critically lagging)
RL (royally lagging)

How many A-Specs, S-Types and Reborings and Suspension Tweaks,Bodykits can you put on the same car before the model is just plain OLD.

Hope we don't get to find out with the TSX but I'm not too optimistic.

not a very promissing future

My friend you are making a good point. If they release a new euro accord, would it be similiar to the US accord or different? In the past the US and Euro Accords were identical. What if they do it again when they release the new accord. what will happen to the TSX name? will it be redesigned completely or the TSX will vanish forever?

the euro/jdm accord will always be smaller than the usdm accord.

In Japan, the US Accord is called the Inspire, while the TSX is the Accord. But, in previous years, the US Accord (and Accords from around the world) were the same as the Japan Accord. The newcomer here is actually not the TSX, but the Inspire (US Accord).

To make things really confusing go to Australia - where they are both called Accord - granted the TSX is called the Euro Accord.

Biker, who is looking forward to the info coming out officially so we can :padlock: this thread.

I am tired of waiting for 2005. Everytime I see all the Acura commercials, it drives me nutts. I see the TL, RL and the RSX and no TSX commercials. what's the deal Acura?

Do you guys think that ACURA reads these threads?

The 15th is a scary day...the day my college app to WPI is due. :-/ I might kill myself if I don't get in.

*sorry random* I also want to see the TSX's new alarm system.

I've seen TSX commercials.....or at least one. There is one with the TSX driving around a town and then it has a cat jump out of the driver's seat. You haven't seen that one? I saw it for the first time shortly after I got my car....maybe mid May/June timeframe

That increase is about twice what I expected, but I guess Acura thinks since the TSX is such a hot seller that they'll not have a problem getting it.
