Acura OEM Deck question?

I have a 95-98 3.2TL acura deck, is this compatible if it is installed into a 88 legend with a Bose set-up. The wiring all crosses over well but there is no noise, any suggestions? I know this is a TL forum, but thought someone can help, delete if necessary.

Stock deck is made by Kenwood unless you got the upgraded one.

My deck says "Matsushita Communication Industrial CO., LTD"

In other words, Panasonic

Typically the wiring harnesses are the same for similar decks with a manufacturer. I dunno though, cause EVERYONE else here on the forum was able to use the stock wiring, but I couldn't the speaker wires on my harness do not go directly to the speakers, I get no sound whatsoever. It must have an external amp, but I don't know why I am the only one who has this!!! LOL Wierd man!!

it wont work. The legends have bose external amps in the trunk somewhere. The wiring harness on the legend might not include the 8 speaker wires that you would need for there to be sound.

i just noticed u asked about first gen legends, I know second gen legends have external amps. No clue on first.

You COULD make it work, you just have to cut the clip from the original car, and run speaker wire to all of the speakers from the deck, then hook them up to the wires on the clip for the speakers. That will eliminate the external amps, and you can run the speakers from the new deck. It's just a bit more work, that's all.
