You do make an excellent point. This is honda as well, they tend to over build things in order to keep up their reputation for reliability. Your rdx is proof that automakers detune the crap out of shit when they care capable of so much more. Regardless of what I do with my rdx by the end of this summer, I will keep checking back in on your guys's builds. By then, ken will have some twin charging action going on!

i'm hoping that he gets it out to Vit in Oregon and goes the motec M1 rout in order to extract the maximum potential out of the setup that he goes with supercharger+turbo or the turbos in a compound arrangement!

Would be fun seeing the look on cayenne turbo and bmw x5M drivers's faces as he passes them. Even better, the look on a new nsx or r8 drivers face.

Yeah, kinda scary "I told him". A bit stressful, you know when you gain a ton of power, you start worrying about other things....

need that transmission built or it will be toast also motec to get it to run right no chance that flashpro can cope with all that effectively. the difference would probably be 200ish HP&TQ and loads of drivability between the m1 and hondata.

I don't plan on running a built motor and stock transmission...

Hmmm, I wonder if I can fit the K20a valvetrain in here. I've seen it done on the K20a3.. Definitely would need a full EMS for that.

Im sure everything will fit. Just would need to clay the motor to check clearances. Just for the stock pistons that is. Aftermarket pistons are definitely deeper on the valve pockets. And no you would not need a different ecu to do it. You guys need to stop thinking this magical motec ecu will be leaps and bounds ahead of flashpro. It's working just fine on your car right now. Just need your boost leaks fixed and see how it goes from there.

flashpro should be able to control the intake and exhaust vtec camshafts.

Guys that have done this said you will need Kpro to run traditional vtec in a none traditional vtec engine. Just what I was reading. What is Motec? My car is running good, and feels good. Looking into the future build that is all. Does it seem weird to do two things at once?

try contacting hondata and see what they have to say. I know Ktuner can run full vtec heads on the accord i4. Maybe they can tweak flashpro to do the same?

I'll probably just end up running the BC stage 3, because I know Kpro is for manual only.

So when you max out on twin charging. Will you then try a hybrid setup like they do in volvo t8 vehicles?

I think the biggest hurdle with electric cars is the weight. If they could only find a way to more efficiently store power in smaller, lighter batteries. The one added bonus of heavy batteries is that the center of gravity is so low and that also they provide a near 50/50 weight balance.

Really though, hybrid-turbo systems are genius. Instant power and torque and then the turbo spools up and kicks in. It is like being hit from behind with a freight train. You could then afford to put in a monster turbo because you don't care about turbo lag. It sucks that putting that type of system into a car not meant for it, would probably be close to impossible.
