Exhaust diameter
Hey guys,
Currently I have the stock system on my RDX, due to the super restrictive laws here in MA however I am reluctant to go with the straightpipe as much as I would love to. Talked with a buddy of mine and he told me that I could get away with a cutout. Does anyone know the diameter and perhaps a recommended cutout to use? Thank you!

I have a 2007 tech!!!
I think OEM exhuast is 2.5", but I'm probably wrong... Got a quote on a mid-muffler delete, $60, but never did it...
This is a turbo engine, so messing with the exhuast is way different than a TL, which most guys here have... I think HeelToe auto has an RDX full exhuast set-up, but it's $980, I think...
IDK, but I think that straight piping an RDX may turn out weird... IDK, it might sound great, I never thought about it before...

The stock exhaust it very restrictive and cheaply made for sure. It’s definitely not two and a half inches and it’s cheap metal not stainless steel. The exhaust may be $936 but to me it was worth it. It’s very high quality and looks at great as it sounds. You can see it on my RDX if you check out my build thread.

Sorry, but that RDX in the video sounds like a diesel cummins Ram with that 10 inch pipe everyone hates... The owner of that RDX must be trying to make it like a truck or sonething... Did you see the mud gaurds???
Not to knock your ideas, but I think the RDX being a 4 cylinder, it would just sound like crap...
His 0-60 video sounded a lot better though...
I don't want to offend your creativity, I just happen think there are better mods out there... Just my

I listened again streaming through my Bluetooth, and it sounds a lot better, IMO...
Maybe would be best straight with one muffler... I love the growl and humm, but hate that blub blub blub blub that sounds like an old pickup truck, IMO...

I have the RV6 downpipe as well, it helps a lot with the sound quality of the exhaust. When the revolutions of the motor reach a warmed up idle all you hear is the turbo.
