Question stock diameter of type-s exhaust?

So i was looking at the size of piping on the after market exhausts, and they are only 60mm= 2.3". what is the stock size? wanted to know because i am probably just going to change my mufflers and need to know the inlet size(2",2.25"etc)....thanks..oh, if you have any suggestions on an aggressive sounding muffler, lmk

Stock B-pipe is 2.25" which transitions to 2" at the Y pipe to the mufflers. Inlet on stock mufflers = 2".

BTW in case your thinking about it. DO NOT use anything bigger then 2.5" Throw that 3" idea out of your mind.

Yeah but that thing had a single exhaust...don't wanna do that to your car. I'd go with 2.5 from cat-back and 2.25 from y-pipe. that's what i have and it feels/sounds damn good. magnaflows are THE SHIT.

to the experts on here...wouldn't a 3" dual exhaust kill the back pressure anyway?

3" dual is by far way too much. A true dual system would be 2.25" max.

However I was contemplating doing a 3" single to 2.25" dual y-pipe for my SCed application. Going for 7sq/in of cross sectional area. Just need to find a good solution for the cat. So is the outlet on the Comptech headers 2.5" or 2.25"?
