Royal Blue RDX Sighting

Acura Carland up in Duluth, GA has a Royal Blue/Taupe Non-Tech on site (as well as a black one that I didn't get a chance to look at). I snapped off some pictures of the outside, but the doors were locked so no interior pictures as of yet.

I like the RDX so far but I'm afraid that it's going to be a bit too cramped in the front seat as far as hip room, etc for me. I have a TSX now and I feel like it's a bit cramped (I'm not a small guy) but I won't know for sure until I can drive one. I did get to sit in one at another dealership, but I couldn't take any pictures then either.

The non-tech dash looks good...they did a much better job with it than with the TL.

Here are the pics:

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the 18's look wimpy on the RDX. They should have definitely put more meatier tires on it as I feel it doesn't look sporty enough with these wheels on it. I will definitely go for the 19's if I choose to purchase one as I feel the RDX looks much more aggressive with the 19's than the 18's.

Well, in your photo I must say the wheels look undersized, but after seeing one in person today, I happen to think the 18" wheels look appropriate without looking too aftermarket, as I expect the 19's will.

Funny, I think the RDX looks like a sporty SUV from the back (and from the front and from the side).

I just feel that the rear wheels are too inset on the RDX. For it to be more aggresive I feel that the rear wheels should stick out a little bit more to make it more sporty.

That's just my opinion, and I think that can be solved by the 19's.

I saw a white RDX this morning with the roof rack (thumbs up) and the 19" wheels (also a thumbs up). I will be getting both those options on mine I believe.

Alright, to each his own. I can't justify the considerable expense of upgrading to the 19" wheels, and I find they look a little too aftermarket.

Well I might not even be buying the RDX...so I can't say for sure what I would do. Plus, I don't know how much they cost, so I can't say for sure I would get them either.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I work just a few miles up the road so I might swing by after work and take look. What did you think about the color combination. If I get one , I'm thinking it would be that combination - Royal Blue/Taupe but with the tech package.

Did you buy your TSX at Acura Carland? What do you think of the dealership? How is their service department?

My husband bought his TL at Ed Voyles Acura and he has it serviced there because it is nearer to his work, but Acura Carland would be a lot more convenient for me.

I actually bought my TSX at Ed Voyles also and love the salespeople and service I get there. Unfortunately I live in Suwanee now and it's just too far for me to go (even though I drive by there on my way to work every day). However, I have had good luck at Acura Carland though from the few times I've been there and just like all dealerships sometimes you can get a good salesperson and sometimes you don't. It just depends...

just saw a few at my local dealer. didn't check the price of the base one, but one with the tech package was 37 something.

i guess with taxes and all you'd be looking at 40-41.

Thumbs up

I stopped by Acura Carland yesterday to look around. I'm not in a rush to buy so I wanted to go when I could look around without any salespeople there. I did not see the blue one, but I did look at the silver one in the back and they had several black ones off to the side in what I suspect is the prep area. I like the taupe interior more in person that I did in the pictures. In some pictures it looked too light. I really liked what I saw, but think I'm going to hold off on the test drive until I see what the prices do over the next 3-6 months.
