Test Drove RDX Tech Package and Non

Hey Guys
Coming from Acura dealership in Shamburg, Chicago. Test drove a Tech Sport Package and a Non Tech Sport Package RDX. Wow, what a car, the acceleration from the turbo is just kicks in when you accelerate. They had everything loaded for the Tech Package; the price for that vehicle was 44,500 w/o taxes and all that. Out the door you are looking at 48,000.

Pros, Love the Navi, Love the sound system loud. Love the center panel, well as the dash board. Nice acceleration. The trunk is very roomy. Thos are just the few to name.

Cons= none can’t think of any.

.

Test drove Black RDX Tech Package, with 19in Chrome wheels, had a River View Camera on it.

Well I think I’m going to buy the RDX, but I will wait for a while.

Over all Dam nice car, go head and test drive it. Once amazing SUV

I thought the price with the tech package was $36,495. Rims can't be 8k. What other extras were added in?

Acura's site is updated now. Once you pile on the accessories the price does get up there but 44k seems very high.

Also in Chicago and saw the RDX in the showroom at McGrath Acura at Ogden. Impressed with the exterior but disappointed with the interior. The bottom half of the center console dash looks very very cheap and unfinished. Will test drive one tomorrow.

Thumbs up

I went and test drove an RDX tonight, very nice!!! The demo had the 19" wheels and Tech. I think I will go for 18" and the Tech. The GPS display is very nice, the backup camera is great (almost 180 degree field of view, I could watch the same car I was seeing out the side window).

Acceleration wise it was very good, maybe a little softness below 2000 RPM, but it came on soon after that and kept comming on.

Handling was better than my old 89 Legend or our 2003 TL. The ride is a bit sportier, there is no torque steer, and no under steer or under steer. Once I got it into a very nice corner and it was absolutely neutral even with a little drift.

The salesman did not have to say a word, the RDX sells itself. My Red/Tech should be in next week. I have had a deposit in for 6 months.

I had been looking at the Subaru Legacy also but in almost all respects it was OK, where the RDX was very nice. It has many more features and executes them very well. There is a big price difference, but the RDX has won me over.

Test drove one today at Zimbrick Acura up in Madison. The guy took me around some twisty areas and man was it fun to drive! Hardly noticed any turbo lag. I'd have to say I was impressed

Sheeit...I'm half tempted to trade in my TSX for one
