Acura RDX Vs. Infinite CX35/25

Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone would have opinions about the upcoming Infiniti CX35/25 ? In particular, how would it compare with RDX ?

http://www.infiniticx.com/

Thanks,
- Jyoti

Too little is known about the CX to really be able to say much. All that can really be said is that it will play in the same general market area.

Don't get the RDX, wait for the CX25/35...it's supposedly got a v7 and left-wheel drive which makes handling superior to the RDX's SH-AWD. Plus it's supposed to have next generation HID taillights and super-LED headlights.

natural tendency of physics wants to pull the car to the left (ie "torque steer" is the shortened way of saying "torque steer to the left").

by driving only the left wheels, the force on the left side of the car counters this "torque steer to the left", which gives it better handling and steering feel.

Rumours persist that Acura will counter the introduction of the V7 in the CX by adding the ultimate in latest technology to the RDX for the 2008 model year - the HandsFree Automated Nut De-itcher. The HAND is the world's best nut scratcher that works automatically to control itching or any general need for scratching in the male genitalia. With noted apologies to the fairer sex, who amongst us with a cluster hasn't felt the need to "rearrange things" on a long highway trip. Along comes the HAND device from Honda/Acura which senses a need for "an adjustment" and completes the task without the driver having to remove his hands from the steering wheel or take his focus from the road ahead. What will Honda engineers think of next?

It will be even later to the party than the RDX is now. I predict these crossover (can't decide if the are a car or suv) styles of cars have already peaked. There is nothing innovative left it's simply copy the competition and that is boring.

It looks cool. I'm not sure infiniti enthusiasts would like the base engine being a 4-cylinder, as they were so happy to see the G20 leave the lineup. I was on the road today and was behind a Mercury Mariner, and found it odd that in all the talk of the RDX's competitor, no one (not even the press) has brought up the Mercury, which I think is a true competitor.

that's what they said about the midsize luxury SUV segment, but they're still coming out with new midsized SUV's...Saab, and Audi are the most recent all-new entries.

I think as bad as some of us want the SUV trend to die out, I think whatever popularity the premium SUV segment has is giong to jsut transfer over to the compact premium SUV segment.

Americans just can't get enough of their SUVs for some reason.
