right into the door, damn window regulator went out and the window dropped like a bad habit. extended warranty gave me the finger apprantly (def gonna have to read over the contract now) so i gotta find a junkyard or somebody who has one....anybody know a website for em? because car-part.com has nada

 

i just put a new one in today. $90 with a $35 core from advanced auto parts

 

I bought one from Autozone for $104 about 9 months ago. Install went great... worked great for 9 months and then last night went "thunk"! Cable snapped, when I went to return it found out that the $104 one is a re-furbished one with a 3 month warranty and they said they have one that is $135 (core) with a lifetime warranty. What pissess me off the most is that when I bought it, they told me it was all they had available to order. So Im going to talk to a manager on wed when the new one comes in.

luckily i found out theres a recall on my car to for the ignition...aparatly we can pull our keys out while the car is in drive....kinda cool lol

Am I correct in assuming that since they told me that this was all they offered that I should only have to pay the difference in price? Or am I most likely stuck paying another $135 to get a brand new one?

 

Oh man I have a 99 2.3cl and My window doesn't catch the motor or whatever. You can hear it going down but it doesn't take the window with it, then it will just slam down all the way. Sometimes it goes down normally. I also just yesterday pulled my keys out and it was in drive..

 

There's a recall for the ignition switch, the window you're on your own

 

Sounds like your window isn't screwed into the little tray that holds it... might want to check that.
