You're starting to have synchro issues with how many miles on the tranny? And probably have the original tranny fluid in there

im at 160, but i have replaced the oil in the tranny already. but that was 2 years ago. maybe i need another one. i think i put 35k since changing. its not bad, but sometimes i have to go into second then go to first. which i though was common with old cars.

Pennzoil Synchromesh works well as a temporary band aid. I had a bad grind in my GSR tranny, changed the fluid with Synchromesh and haven't had a problem since.

Bought a multimeter and disassembled my distributor looking for the crank positioning sensor. Turns out it wasn't there. So i called the shop and found that they moved it to the oil pump so it would be compatible with the OBD2 ECU. It's much more difficult to access in this location. I might have to pull the motor.

that sucks.

today, sucked. since this Tropical storm came. there was some flooding in the area. the tranny ceased a lil bit. but got it working. it wouldn't go to gear when the engine was on but went into gear when it was off. so i put into gear first then started the car. car jumped, then was able to go into any gear.

thought about taking off the upper intake manifold and cleaning it. Just got an EGR Fault code and replaced the EGR valve but still pulling code P0401.
How long does this process take and how many gaskets will i need??

I already found the post on how to do it.

I didn't change any gaskets on mine when I done mine because my engine had just been rebuilt not that long before that. The main seals I would think that would be needed if you wanted to change them would be the intake gasket and the throttle body gasket. There should be no others that need to be replaced. You can complete the job in under an hour

If that's all that's failing after that much mileage I'd be a happy camper lol

changed my oil and filter, installed an actual SRI instead of the ghetto looking pipe I had, and bought brake fluid to do a flush.

next would be the actual flush, and than change some trans fluid

and because I like to keep track, I'll throw my mileage out there for my own reference
117,000mi

oh and I've got a thermostat to install

Finally after 2 weeks of straight rain, got a break in the weather, so I hooked my battery up, fired up the CL, took her to fill the tank and rode her around for a while. Gonna drive her all weekend while the weather holds out.

can't do that on the v6's because of the way the tensioner works, you have to replace/fix compressor.

Turns out it was just the belt tensioner pulley. That bearing let go pretty hard. $113 bucks later and it's good like new.

I'm going to be selling the car soon, and my friend has a 5th gen accord and has been begging me for them since I got them, so I figured I'd let them go to him since that way I can still drive his car when I want :P
I hate myself for getting rid of them already lol

Well I've had a supra for a couple months, and I'm probably going to buy my dads 7th gen accord off of him for the winter because he's bored of it already haha

Hung out at the junk yard and found a homelink from a TL that I am going to put into my 97 but not the way you would think.
And also got an ABS fuse box cover, somehow mine had walked away from under my hood.

Still havent found the little ring that goes around the cigarette lighter. Refuse to pay $20 for that thing.
