I'm not saying you have to do something crazy, but I think you should atleast get low 30's if not in the 20's for offsets, especially if you are willing to stretch tires.
Are you keeping stock fenders then? No flares? Any pulling or just rolling? Still running crazy stretched tires?
My buddy has a set of rezax, same style as those black ones, 18x8 +25 and 18x9.5 +25, looks to be all chrome or polished or whatever, I can ask him about condition and price if you are interested, let me know

Mitch seems to be the go to guy for wheels, especially aggressive ones. I know him and I have had many a conversation about crazy offset Japanese wheels that his buddies are looking at or own.

what amount is that? since when do you ever do anything that you're "told" to do when it comes to this car? You're not a racer so why are you worried a/b that? GO HARD OR GO HOME! LOL

axles will be the primary concern, as above stated...but I'm sure you already knew that running that kinda power will require race axles

aggressive wheels aren't a problem at all...there's guys pushing way more power than that fd's, supras, and s14's all day with super aggressive wheel fitment on their track/drift cars...so I'm not sure who gave you that information, dude.

aggressive wheels aren't the problem but it's running a staggered setup on his car. He can be aggressive and functional... like running the same size all around

will need flares for these
kind of expensive for what they are, but thought i'd post them up anyways since you seem to like that style of rim

i was told i cant run 19s on the car... that was my original plan... and yes i know about aftermarket axels lol... the topic is wheelzzzzzz lol...

mitch i think 11s in the rear is pushing it... ill probably check in with my boys at d2 for some brand new wheels if i cant find used ones...

18in wheels and tires would be able to hold up to aggressive driving.

19in wheels and tires, thinner sidewall... well you know...

i got this information from someone who deals with suspension tuning and rims/tires configurations... i trust him, my shop trusts him, owner of cars that he dealt with - trusts him blindly with expensive wheels/tires/cars setup... so i trust what he says.. now with that being said, i like to push my car so ill go with a 18in rim with 10 in the rear and 9-9.5 up front... if you guys come across any 5 lug wheels help me out! ill look for a week more then ill just pay more for brand new wheels in the setup i want...

thanks everyone...

Don't be impatient, you've waited this long to build the car, you might as well make sure they're exactly the wheels you want and you're not settling. It might take longer than a week, but it'll be worth it in the end.

this

I dunno dude...honestly I think 9.5 are the perfect width up front WITHOUT any sort of flares. Unless you're going for low teen or negative offsets up front.

IMO, if you're ballin out of control, I would take a look at some Rotiforms. They have some of the most beautiful wheels I've ever seen...and can be built to total custom spec just like CCW's.

flip: i wont have any camber so i think 9.5 up front, so i think it'll require a small flare? i think...

and what do you guys think about vossen wheels? heard anything about them?

nobody can say that for sure. It's going to take actual trial/error since there's innumerable factors when it comes to flares/rims. Seems as though you're pretty set on those rims...I think you should get them in the sizing you want....put them on the car with the desired camber settings...then see how she sits. Have your body shop order/modify the required flares. Heck, with 9.5 up front...I'd venture to say your body shop would even suggest just slightly flaring/pulling out the stock fenders. That's not really an extreme width...but your offsets will play a big part as well

I've run VIS hoods on 2 cars prelude and DA and never used hood pins and never needed them. Hoods fit perfect without them and that flying up bullshit is exactly that.

yeah i never had any problems with my VIS CF hood flying up.

if you intend on using hood pins i pray to God you will at least use Aero Catch. anything else belongs on a 70 Chevelle SS.
