starter problems.

Sucks today. Car wouldn't start I had to get it towed to a shop near my place. Damn it. Anybody know how much it cost. The mechanics won't be in till monday so I won't know on the price of it till then. But i need to be prepared.

it shouldn't be hard, just a remove and replace. you could probably do it in their parking lot if your car is outside.

I probably would have done it if I was close to home or at home area. But it was night time in the dark parking lot, kinda cold and I was in at the mall which is like miles and miles away from any kind of auto stores. The mall is surrounded by woods. Who knows what would happen if I left it. Maybe security will put a boot on it.

It's really easy. 2 bolts and a power wire to take off and reattach. A brand new starter will probably be around $200 or so. You can find a rebuilt one for about $100 or eve find a good one at a salvage yard for about $40.

Have had the same problem for about a 2 weeks on and off, would have swore it was the starter .... Got the low Down!!! the odessy, tl, cl and accord v6 starters match up, to rebuild is about $100.. Hit up Auto Zone and you can test it for FREE , found out my starter is fine ordered a replacement ground wire pack from ACURA $19.99 hope you get yours tested first, looked like on the 3.0 the starter is on the driver side mid way down ... yours might be DIfferent it's sometimes on the other side ..........
