there has been an occurance ever since i've got my alternator switched out
with a rebuilt one. While im driving, my lights (instrument cluster, digi clock, headlights)
all blink. When I say blink, I mean pulsate. The damn lights are always flickering.
When I am at a stop they are usually at there most vibrant flicker. When I say vibrant,
I mean a hair slowery but the car F-in shakes! I am in drive with my foot on the brake
pedal and I ease off as the pedal as the light turns green. The car seems as if its out of
gas, or my alternator is going to die again.
I know you guys have read my previous threads entitle Off the Strength. Off the
Strength meaning as i proceed from a stop to an accelerating mode of operation. I took
my car to my audio guy and he tells me that his alternator/battery guy says that our car
(newer cars) have the regulator built into the alternators "brushes". I dont know what
he meant by this, but, what he is trying to imply is that the rebuild isnt neccesary
rebuilt to be in a 99 3.0, it is more like a universal, or for a specific application that
doesnt match mine. I dont know what I am gonna do or where the hell I should even
go about getting this fixed. My warantee is expired.

my shit is clearly randomly occuring.
it has had a 2-day streak of not even having the shakes and the blinks.
then it comes back , usually during the evening.
this may have something to do with the combo of a stereo system and the high beam conv.

i would take out the alt. and take it to a autozone and have it tested
also i would look into checking the battery has a nice charge as well
a rebuilt alt. is just fine, you should be fine as long as the guy it good and know what he is doing
i would also recommend that you not rebuild it cause a new one ensures that you have a good warrenty and it will be ok and work well with the car
the shakes and sounds like your car is stalling out i would have your egr checked and also i wonder about your fuel pump and if its bad or not, cause it stalling and you say like its not getting gas it could mean a fuel pump
also i would look into checking the battery has a nice charge as well

while i was in 1st gear all the way. i think i drained out my battery and now 2 weeks later it
finally is fully charged. i could be wrong but the fuel pump being a problem : i highly doubt it cuz
it shakes at random intervals of gas, usually not the bottom of the end of the tank.
i am stumped. it hasnt come back in a little while, so i guess ill b good for now.
the audio capacitor will put this problem in the garbage, i hope.
