I have spent the past 2 1/2 hours dawn washing my car & following that up with a claybar (Mothers, not Zaino) All I can say is WOWWWW! It makes the surface feel like glass, I couldnt believe it... I was kinda sceptikal at first, but.. I am now a firm believer... I am following this up with Mother's Cleaner/wax, and then several coats of Mothers Pure Carnuba Wax, I will post pics when I am done, The reason I went with Mothers instead of Zaino was the price and availability. I got the complete kit of Mothers (claybar, lubricant spray, and cleaner/wax) for $14 then bought the pure carnuba wax for $10. Anyways, just wanted to share a few recommendations.... 1)stay out of the sun when using the claybar 2) do a small section at a time, and when you are done that section, wipe with a clean terry cotton cloth 3) mold your claybar after each section (hood, door, roof) this will prevent it from getting really contaminated. Hope that helps anyone thinking about using a claybar. Also, I only used 1/3 of the bar that was supplied in the kit, the rest I am saving in a ziplock bag for future use.... peace out.... CHris.

I remember thinking how does clay do anything but i bought a claybar about 3 years ago (forget what brand) and loved it. Use it all the time now. One tip for storing it besides using the zip lock bag is to spray it with the lub. stuff so it doesnt stick to the bag otherwise its a real mess

 

I'm gonna have to pick one of those bars up this weekend. I've been skeptical too, but since you guys are talkin it up so much, I'll try it out

I used the clay bar (mothers) about 3 weeks ago and I hated it. I dont think it did anything except make more little paint chips on my hood. Good thing Wal-Mart takes refunds
