help! fuse keeps blowing
so my ground came out on my amp so i had to fix some wires...now, everytime I try to put in a new 7.5amp radio fuse...it sparks and blows right when i put it in. Anyone know what could be causing this? Ive already blown like 3 fuses All my grounds seem good, is it bad if i put, say a 15 amp fuse in the 7.5amp radio spot?

i had the same issues years ago, never really resolved the problem. it went away by itself after blowing 10 fuses. It def. had something to do with either a bad ground, or the cigarette lighter, i think i plugged a 1,000,000 candle watt light into the cig lighter and got a ton of problems from that. i cant even remember, but i remember not only would the radio not work but my rear tail lights went out.

Make sure you havent accidentally switched your power and ground wires anywhere to thatll blow ur fuse in seconds. other advice never change the size of a fuse specially in ur cars electrical system the reason they put a .5 is because th components after the fuse cant take much more than 7.5 amps by puttin a 10 amp fuse you may destroy everything that the 7.5 fuse is protecting.
