Clac, so you think $500 is a lot for the Greddy headers. How much do you think the Comptech ones cost? They're over $1,000 dollars.

DC Sports is making one and I think there is this one phillipino company called SSR or something like that....there was a post about this earlier in Car Talk that someone read from the Accord Forum.

Got Rice, are you positive that those two companies are really working on headers because that I want to get a set of headers and I don't want to pay a 1,000 for the comptech ones (I can't afford it either).

If you can't afford it...waiting won't be too much of a problem for you then, will it.

I am sure greddy is working on headers. Go to the website, they havent got a price or a release date though. They are playing with my emotions. Does anyone out there already have headers on a 3.0 that arent comptech?

I went to the Greddy website, I don't see anything about headers for the 97-99 Acura CL 3.0.

Did you see the 98-up Accord headers? If you did then those are the ones. In the 3.0s well 97 im not sure of the others. Its the same engine of that in a 98 Accord V6.

I know it has the same engine but since the accord has dual exhausts do you think that'll have any effect on whether it'll just fit w/o modification?

Thats a good question, but I am just as clueless as you on that one. Are you thinking of the downpipe needing mods? I have never looked at an Accords exhaust from the headers so on, I have no clue.

no they aren't, DC sports had a company make a mold for them a few years back and now that mold is up for bid from a few company's but they won't be cheaper then the comptechs, the power gains are more significant and the craftsmanship is even better.

WiLL NoT FiT

Headers for the 98-01 v6 WILL NOT FIT... the 97-99 3.0 cL. Connection from the header to the cat is different.
The other company is TRR and supposedly OBX is making headers for the 98-01 v6.

When I asked comptech I was told that the connection from the b-Pipe was different. I'll check the part # and see if they're different.
Accord- # 220-040
cL- # 220-041
Wonder how much different they really are? Anyone have homie with accord headers willing to let them try?

ghander,
Do you think the prototype headers will fit our car? If your friend hasn't had any probs with the cL headers on his Acc, then the myth has been solved! I personally am waiting to see if they do begin production of those headers
