Crazy Comptech Distributor

Hey all, this is just kinda a vent of the experience I just had at an acura dealer:

So I've been looking at superchargers lately for my 99 3.0 cl. I've already got headers, intake and my exhaust finished (all of which I learned from this board by the way) and this (and new pullies) seemed like a good idea for the next modification.

I looked up a local distruibtor on comptechs website and ran down there today and told the asshole on the front counter what I was looking for. He asked what I was driving and made a phone call and came back and told me my only option would be to trade up to a 3.2 cl because they don't make anything that fits mine. I said the one listed as a 98-99 accord should fit my car, and that what I've already put on it was listed as the same. He told me they were comptech and he thinks they'd know what they make and what they don't. He said he could call them back about the accord one "even though it won't fit", but he said it would be about $4,600.

I said it's cheaper to go directly through comptech than to go through you, because it's listed on their website as being $4000? He just kinda looked at me. I then asked if he would check on the price for a Transmission Cooler to which he informed me my car already had a transmission cooler and the one provided by comptech was just a replacement.

This pretty much goes against everything I've read on this forum, but the guy was a jackass from the moment I walked up to the counter. Someone tell me this guy is crazy, or that I am.

actually the supercharger for the 98-02 accords will NOT bolt right up to our motors. I think it requires a slight modification, however it has been done before. I believe the guy is no longer a member here, but he was also located in colorado, and I think his name has "white" in it somewhere.

Here's one. That's good stuff to know. But, I'm still going to try to pursue this, see how it goes.

But still, that guy was a douche.

I dunno, for 5g's you could piece together a pretty decent turbo kit.
