ABRP really miscalculated
I had a round trip from Cedar Park to San Marcos last weekend. I used ABRP to estimate how much battery I would consume. It expected 32%, which seemed very optimistic to me. It was, however, well within a batterie's charge so no worries about needing to recharge. The trip itself ended up taking 39% and was at an efficiency of 2.9 miles/kWh. I was actually surprised I was that efficient, given the amount of highway driving at 70+ mph. How often do people find ABRP just really over-estimates the efficiency of a trip? Frankly, I've never come even close to the efficiency required to make that distance in only 32% of the battery.
