Well from the TL owners I know, we're all northsides so northside?

But shit I fucked up badly retouching my paint on my car, there's blotches everywhere near the chips and the toothpick method for me went horrendously....

there are a few people on southside.

how did you mess up, did you do multiple layers to build up paint? Or you just put a lot on there the first time and that's why it's blotchy?

I did a couple with the paint which is why its blotchy I guess then I tried the other ones with the toothpick method but I guess I didn't do it properly....

I got the compu-star installed last year with 2 way remote. It was the top of line (last year) remote starter with shock sensor alarm. it has all the little functions like tell you the inside temp of the car, battery voltage, you can set a timer on the remote and whole 9 yards. msg me and ill give u the full detail buddy even if ur looking for something cheap with a 1 way remote.

yup, back in the 2G.

PS.

anyone need spacers, 15mm and 20mm hubcentric, work great on stock 3G TL wheels, pushes them out nicely and flush with fenders. PM for price if interested.

Can anyone help me touch up the little chips in my hood? Not looking for a perfect job just enough so it doesn't look as bad from 1meter away haha!

And Vince would you be able to wax my car?

What troubles are you having with touching up the hood? Did you try out the toothpick method? I'll assume you got the paint pen from the dealership. What I did with the pen is dob a bit onto a piece of paper and then using a toothpick, dip it in the dob and apply a minimal amount of paint to the chip. You'll want to let it dry and then reapply another small blob. This way you're layering it to try and make it even/protrude above the rest of the paint. This is way more effective than putting a big blotch on and hoping for the best. It won't look good and has tendencies to chip right off.

Sorry I'm only taking on large scale projects. Next summer I will only be doing very select cars since this is my hobby. I don't want to turn it into my job If you're looking to protect your paint for this winter, you can always wash, clay, and wax on your own. There are products available locally or through online sellers.

how do you guys feel about puddle lights and door handle lights like some VIP jdm and some euro cars have. Google if you don't know what it is. These would be wired to come on only when you lock/unlock the car, and would fade just as the interior lights would fade. I am playing with the idea of doing this, wiring is pretty simple it seems, and parts are pretty cheap. I just don't know if the LEDs would hold in out climate and -40 temperatures.

Sunday sounds like a good day, as long as the weather holds up.
Any meeting place is fine, just shoot some ideas for a spot and I'm all for it.

Myron, my bro's 335 has those lights and I think they are pretty cool. Not all cars/vehicles can pull them off. Do you have an idea how to do it?

yea there is a great wiring diagram: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/puddle-light-wiring-up-schematics-detailed-pics-835659/

That is a wiring diagram for puddle lights, but can be used for door handle lights. I don't wanna put expensive mods on this car since it's in a pretty shitty condition but I have a mod bug and I have to do something haha

Oh I see. Doing some minor mods? I believe one of the best mods for any vehicle is white led license plate lights. Just save up for more mods on your next car! haha.
