Anybody know of any good places to get the roof wrapped or to get rims powdercoated? I'm planning to wrap my roof wrapped next year and my current rims are kind of worn out so I'm just thinking of powdercoating my other set and using the worn out ones for winter. Clear Choice Auto and Perfection Powdercoating come in mind for me but was wondering if there's better places.

It's not bad. A change from my usual full on white lights up front. There are quite a few bubbles I was hoping would go away with the heat but they still seem to linger. I'll have to take care of those one of these days.

It's not the cheapest thing to get a full set of wheels powder coated. You can almost buy a pair of nice aftermarket wheels for a couple hundred more on top of the cost of powder coating. If you don't mind knock off brands, varrstoen comes to mind.

I have a soldering iron. Nothing fancy, just a cheap one from PA. I used it this past weekend to plastic weld and it worked fine.

I got a quote from Perfection Powdercoating and it's about 600 for all 4, not sure if I wanna fork out that much.

400$ just for powder coating or sandblasting as well? That's a decent price

Hey guys,

I've got a blown door speaker that I have to replace. After looking at my (limited) options for aftermarket, I bit the bullet and picked up an OEM replacement. Now I have to get it installed. Any suggestions? I think someone mentioned that jbond was at Visions...which location?

What day? And has anyone gotten a TPMS error before? I've just gotten one, granted my left tire gave out the other day and the bottom part of my front A-Spec lip ended up scraping the ground and some 3M came off, does anyone know if there's warranty on 3M if shit like that happens?

what kind of error ?
mine says error all the time and goes away, usually after swamping rims or a temperature change.

3M depends on where you got it done, doubt they'll replace it if you caused it but maybe they'll give you a discount to redo it?

When I go and select that error it just shows my tire pressure for each tire is a blank dotted line, I heard that's normal though since like you said it happens usually around temperature change. Should be good after I get my winters put on on Saturday.

I had the 3M done at Clear Choice Auto, brought it in today to see if they can replace it but nah it was near the bottom so not much of a point, they were nice and offered to just even out the 3M by cutting off the parts that were ripped.

Nov 2nd works for me as well, where did you get your winters? My summers are out of tread and I was thinking of getting some Michelin Pilot Super Sports off Tire Rack when the snow starts to melt.

I quote based on the condition of the paint in person. Getting a repaint certainly won't be cheap if you're getting the whole car redone.

Yeah I might be able to. Depends on the day and time.

That error should only appear temporarily and go away as the TPMS resets. If it remains persistent, that may mean something is wrong with one or more of the TPMS units themselves. I had that issue two winters ago and it turns out one of the TPMS's on one wheel was rusted through. Had to order a new one and that fixed the constant error.

Costco actually is a great place to buy tires locally. Their prices were cheaper than online retailers after factoring in shipping and currency exchange. I had to buy one new blizzak tire since it got damaged from pot holes last season. There was a small promotion as well so it came out less than 1010tires and tirerack.

I checked around and yea seems like Costco is my best bet. Do you need a Costco card in order to get tires done there?

I got a quote from West Side Acura that wasn't too far off from the quote I got from Costco either.

Seems like Nov. 2nd works the best for everyone, we should meet somewhere in the Northside or downtown since majority of us live in the Northside. I remember Justin mentioning last time we should meet up at Sai Woo that Chinese restaurant near Lucky 97 in Chinatown haha.

Costco's prices for tires are really good. As well, they are really cheap (comparatively) for summer/winter changeovers, however they'll only do that service for you if at least one set was bought through them. However, they do it on a first come, first served basis, which means dropping in there shortly after 6 am once things get busy (such as the first week of snow).

My wife just replaced her Ford Expedition with a Pilot, and it came with winter tires that, I understand, were bought at Costco, but unless I get the seller to come in with me (which I'm not about to do), I have to get the changeover done elsewhere. I've got a place that will do it for $28.50 a tire (not on rims)...anyone got something better?
