@Quyen - If you're the only one there might not be a point to do a group buy. Buying one roll is $50 for shipping whereas getting two rolls is $60 for shipping. For two people, it's only a savings of $20 so not really worth it for the hassle.

One thing I miss about Alberta and its lack of front plateS. Makes the car look super clean.

So just outta randomness, anyone have an hour or so to help me with a few installs. Just thought i'd ask is all, if not its alright. Thanks again.

Does anyone have type 2 switchbacks, bulb type 7440 they're looking to sell? Prefer 92 or 120 led towers. Those V3 tritons are backorder until end of May and look like they keep getting backordered later and later.

[quote=ArenHam;14481435]Where have you been Ricky?

I was on a vacation for 2 and half months. Got back couple weeks ago and been working mad hours..

[quote=v|nsan|ty;14482553]@Ricky - Haha did you install them yet?

Ya I stilled them last night, BUT one side only works as a signal and no park light and other side is perfect. So I emailed VLED, we shall wait and see what happens! I am kinda ticked off, fucking $125 or something for pair of bulbs and they don't work properly.

@Ricky - Yikes that sounds like typical v-leds quality. Nothing I've gotten from them lasts. Luckily Mitch sold me a pair of switchbacks he had from before for insanely cheap. Now I'm back to no amber

Hey guys, new member, so to speak. Joined this site many moons ago but never really got involved.

I drive an ASM TL Type-S 6MT, 2008. Bought it brand new and still loving it. Fully stock, for now. Only replaced the original tires with some Nitto Invo's.

Been contemplating doing the hood with di-noc CF. Anyone have any experience with installing this and have any sources to get it cheap? I was quoted $5/sq. ft.

Also, I read that Silence was just doing some touch up paint. My car needs a little TLC. Would I get the paint through Acura or are there any other recommendations?

Thanks for any feedback!

To be honest, since you're car is silver, I would not recommend getting your hood wrapped, it just wouldn't flow or match.
If you're in need for touch up paint, check Honda as well, they have the same paint codes/colors and its a bit cheaper too.

Thanks for the input ArenHam. The wrap would have been a last resort if I couldn't get my hands on some touch up paint (the thought never occurred to me tbh).

Try plasti dip, I was thinking of plasti dipping my car cause I'm bored. Way cheaper and with plasti dip you can always experiment and try different stuff.

@ricky - Haha the thread has been pretty dead in the past week or two, where is everybody at?

@Jeff - Nice those headlights look awesome. Really dig that blue tinge to the diffuser area.

@Sejanus - Welcome! You're the first TL-S to chime in here with a 6 speed. That thing must feel like a totally different car in comparison to an auto TL-S.

I've installed quite a bit of 3M di-noc on my car. Not too difficult, requires patience to get clean installs though. It's best to take whatever it is you're wrapping apart so that you can completely cover the edges so that no seams show. As for the hood, that's not a big deal since you can easily wrap it all under the edge. I don't have a source for lower prices, but I ordered online over a year ago. Like Aaron said, it will look a bit off if that's the only mod you're planning to do. Usually that type of visual mod would go hand in hand with things such as a drop, wheels, etc etc.

I got touch up paint from the dealership before but hated it. Not a fan of the pen style since it's much harder to control how much comes out. I ordered a small bottle from paintscratch.com and it's fine. It's hard to go wrong with a dr.colorchip kit as well. It includes a paint leveler to help blend the touch up paint to the OEM paint. It looks better than doing touch up with a pen but still not as good as going through the whole touch up, wet sand, and polish ordeal.

@Ricky - Pick a date and we'll see who can go! Weekends work best for me.

@Aaron - Haha yeah I've been swamped by work lately. Do any new mods?

Jason's? Too bad it doesn't seem like there is much gloss to the plasti-dip. Unless it's meant to be a matte white?
