My TL is all stock for now. got a baby on the way so upgrades may have to wait lol.

@Vince, yeah i was thinking 18s be more practical, really wanna do coils too, but we'll see how deep my pockets are this summer, if not, next for sure!!

 

@Jordan lets be honest, most of the people on 780 are douchebags, I wouldn't be caught dead parking my car anywhere near them.

On the other hand, is anyone going to the 780 season opener on May 4th? And driven on May 11th?

But yeah a meet on the 13th sounds good to me.

 

gonna have to agree with the 780 douchebag statement, if you're not in their click or not have mad mods on your car, they generally make fun of you or just say dumb things.

the only 780 meet i'd ever show up at is the season opener.

 

I wont deny there are a few douches there, but I've been going to them for a few years so I've gotten to know them quite well lol.

If I can walk (or even drag my ass outta bed not drunk by chance) I'd be down for meeting up on the 13th. Yay for my birthday weekend lol.

 

Haha, Ive been going to 780 meets since I was 17-18, there is no denying some people have huge egos, you just gotta ignore them and meet some of the more level headed guys.

Times are changing though, more new young faces coming out and the older grumpy dudes slowly going away.

I dont think I will be out for that meet as there is a couple things I want to have done to the car to make it look presentable.

 

Anyone needing stock sized summer tires for their TL, give me a shout, I personally loved these tires, super quiet and make the ride feel nice.

I went to some of the UC meets on friday with the 780 guys, tbh I didn't talk to many of them. They still have that ego/my car is better than yours but I drive a honda civic thing going on. Some of them are really cool guys tho, I usually am the only Acura there other than an orange RSX. I'm usually there with the mazdaspeed guys since I'm friends with a few of them.

Depending on what time the meet is, out of all the saturdays I unfortunately have to work that one from 10-2pm.

 

If the weather presents itself, why not do it in the early evening like 5pm? Somewhere like UC Timmies? Or somewhere where we can grab a real bite to eat? Meets are fun and all but its better if we have something to do besides standing around looking at our pretty Acura's.

 

i might grab these from you in the near future depending on how my plans go, why you letting them go?!


As for the meet, i also work 10-2 most likely, but 5pm at UC timmies or anywhere we can eat is fine with me!

 

I can be flexible on the price, even more so if you have any cool bits that can go on my car. Reason Im selling them is because I simply dont need them. I'll have a set of 19's in my hands soon and the winters will stay on the stock wheels.

 

I'm quickly racking up the parts haha, I just bought the greddy evo 2 exhausts. Can't wait till they come in!

@Jeff - Haha of course I'm up for it. I'll be back at the whole detailing scene on weekends this summer again most likely. But if you do want it done, I'd recommend you have all your parts painted and installed first.

@Sanjay - Will you be pairing those wheels with aftermarket springs or coils?

@Aaron - Nice pickup. It's a nice sounding exhaust. Cannons are a bit too big for my taste though.

I sold the tires yesterday morning, sorry dude!

I'm probably going to get springs, I cant justify coilovers for a car that I daily in the winter. Having them in winter significantly reduce the life of the coilovers.

 

I used my coils in the winter..had no issues lol a lot of people run coils in the winter.

@EDMGenerTL - I think your best bet is to contact a dealer, those are I would say hard to come by...

@Vince - when your coils and spacers, did you have to roll your fenders?

 

@EDMGenerTL - That or order from a vendor. Might come out to a bit cheaper than local dealerships.

@Aaron - I didn't roll my fenders, but they got partially rolled from my tires lol. If you tend to carry a lot of passengers in the back, it might be helpful to have them rolled. When I had passengers in the rear seats and went over bumps going at a decent speed, I could hear occasional rubbing. My tires aren't shredded so it wasn't a huge concern. I have to fix the surface rust that developed on the fenders as I chipped off some of the paint from tires rubbing in the summer.

dude, just go with a vendor, the price will be alot cheaper than dealer.
the mirror is $40 shipped from ack, not sure about the Hands free unit tho.

I have to put in an order soon with Ack to get some maintenance items. Checked my air filter the other day, it's filthy! Only about 30k on it and it's just as bad as when I first changed it when I got the car.

 

Give me 100$ and you can have a pair of side mirror assembly. It's painted white tho.

I think we'll be okay, its supposed to +2 that day. If it does snow it'll probably melt away.

But anyways we'll play it by ear and reschedule if we have to. I personally don't like standing outside when its mucky.
Plus it gives me more time to finish my mods, still gotta install my exhaust, my coils, my new brakes and gotta finish plasti dipping my front grill.

@Sanjay - I have (4) 25mm spacers that I don't need. Feel free to give them a test fit anytime!

 

@Vince - haha...couldn't pass up a good deal! I think an intake manifold and larger throttle body are other good bolt on mods. I should just save up for a CT-E supercharger instead haha.

Got one more mod to add on now. Just bought enkei RPF1 in lime green, . Its on the way, so stoked. I wont be able to go tomorrow since my car will be in pieces while i try an attempt to install some parts, . Sorry guys.

@Jbond - I think we'll have to cancel the meet tomorrow, as of now it is snowing and I guess it will continue on into the rest of the day. Guess we will have to reschedule.

I have a better idea though haha. For the 780 season opener on the 4th of May , we should have our own little meet and then drive there and check it out.

 

@Quyen - Nice! What are the wheel specs? Grab some coilovers too!
