Anyone dealt with Northwest Acura? Silverhills service dept sucks ballz.

 

I have to take my CL in for the SRS light. I work near Silverhill and heard it's warranty on these cars so I will let you know how things go there

 

No, I get my servicing done at Silverhill. Just got my B2 service w/ clutch and brake fluid replacement, talk about ass-raping. But never had problems with them

 

I've dealt with NW Acura a couple of times..not bad, not great.

 

After talking with Acura Canada my discounted trans and ecu install ($3500 is a fucking discout from the $7750 quote?!) the deal only stands at silverhill because they diagnosed it and helped negotiate the deal. But the service manager did offer to do the timing belt and tensioner for free so theres something. I'm going to get em to check the motor mounts too. With any luck Should have my car back by the end of next week.

 

I tried to get them to do it once and silverhill told me that it wasnt covered, it may be something only in the states.

As for service go to silverhill. They deal with the most service for acura in canada so they are probably the best people to deal with to get the job done right. Of course you pay more for it but trust me, especially with the shit I'm going through right now I wish I had payed the extra money right off the bat and had the dealer do it right. Now I need a whole new transmission, possibly a new clutch and a whole fuck load of headaches...

But if your paying for it yourself, do the Oddessy tranny swap, apperently it will be around the same amount that your paying now and the trannys have held up on boosted CL's. That would be the best route in my opinion if your paying for it yourself.

Third annual 403-Honda meet

When: Sunday September 19th @ 1:00pm
Where: Chinook Mall, usual beyond meet location (upper level parkade by foodcourt)
Who: Honda/Acura owners
What: There's no planed events or cruise, just a quick meet. People are welcome to do whatever after the meet if some want to cruise or whatever.

Who's in? I think it would be fun to show up together unannounced...

i live in canmore so close enough good to see people from calgary around here as for the northwest acura i was there once didnt like the service so i now go to crowfoot hyundai i know the guy over there and he takes really good care of my car

id like to meet up with you guys some day but as for right now il be busy working and i have a lot of mods getting started so il be passing on my cars to the techs for a bit here but keep me posted and if i have my car for once of those meets il be down

That meet on the 19th would be a lot of fun, if I have my car back by then I'm down.

However I kinda doubt I will, sourcing a 6 speed transmission is almost impossible, nothing in canada and have so far only found 8 in the states, not excited for the shipping costs on this one....

 

Ya i hear you it sounds like a lot of work and a lot of money for the swap but im been talking with some guys on here and they say you should be able to handled around 300-330 bhp at the crank and around 245-250 whp max so if you think about it for our cars its pretty decent numbers but i think if my tranny dies on me i think i will just get another one i like it if i ever go for a more serious racer il get a manual but for my everyday car i prefer just sticking to the automatic also with our winters i dont really want to be messing around with my gear box when the car starts slidding everywhere haha

 

Does anyone here know when the hell and how to go to RaceCity?

I don't want to drag race.. I want to take my TL out on the speedway.

Are there organized events? Or do you just drop by?

 

I have no idea honesly, thought about doing it myself but I would want a couple buddies to come along if I did.

And no swap for me, mine is original 6speed but when I blew my clutch MASTERTUNE on 32nd (I say that because I don't want anybody else to risk going to them) fucked up on the seals or whatever and I was leaking fluid now I have to find another. Not a happy customer to say the least.

 

Oh I almost forgot, does anybody have a set of 3g TL rims they want to sell me?

I'm eventually going to do a RL caliper swap and it pretty much makes the 2 sets of rims that I currently have to useless.

Let me know and PM me a price if you do, btw I won't have the money for a while, I'm just seeing what the avaliblity of these would be.

Hey I'm kinda new to these forums... been a part of and for a while.
But I have an 06 JGM RSX Type S. It's an American car that's why its that colour.

Anyways its got the A-Spec body kit on the outside if you've ever spotted me. I live in Strathmore but my Dad lives in calgary so I'm out their often (he lives in the SE).

Anyways just wanted to introduce myself, will their be any other RSX's on the meet next sunday?

and ya as for taking car of the car i enjoy talking with people who actually like there acuras or cars for that matter haha but ya i see you have a 2010 acura how is it those things are pretty darn quick
im working on getting mine up to 310-330 bhp at the crank and then i want to install it with the Aspec Seats i think its looks a bit sportier im 20 years old so i kind of like the double leather in there haha
