Swirl removal and nicks/ paint chips

I just purchase a black on black 04 TSX. The body condition is fair to good.

Howerver, there's swirl marks everwhere!!

What's a effective over the counter way to remove swirl marks? I've heard Meguire's Scratch X does a pretty good job by hand.

Also, I'm getting some touch up paint from the stelearhsip to fix 2 paint chip about 2 mn wide, one is down to the primer

Any suggestions on how to fix that?

Also the rear left panel looks like either it was replaced or they messed up the paint somehow. It's definitely noticable if you look carefully as it has blue sparkles in that area.

Any ideas what or how I can fix this?

Thanks!

you can get an OEM paint pen off ebay, probably cheaper than stealership, they're about $10

ebay: "acura paint pen"

Make sure you switch arms halfway through, or else one will get HUGE!!

I used ScratchX on a small area, and you really have to work it for a while. You may find that a PC and some polish actually saves you some time and allot of soreness!!

I have an 06 blk TL. Yesterday, I finally washed it thouroughly by hand because winter is finally over in upstate NY. After it was washed and dried, it looked like crap in the sun, swirls everywhere. I bought meguiars nxt generation tech wax last year and never used so I figured I would try it out. I went to wal-mart and got some meguiars scratch-x so I could use that before the wax. I applied scratch x to half of the trunk with an orbital buffer with a microfiber bonnet and took it off after a few minutes with a terry cloth...I was amazed with the results. It almost completely eliminated swirls and light scratches in direct sunlight! After I did the whole car with scratch x, I performed the same process with the tech wax. That reduced the swirls even more and made the car look better than the day I bought it last summer. I was getting scared thiking that I needed to get the car professionally buffed but just after a couple hours of using meguiars products, the car looked better than ever.

The scratch x and tech wax were applied really easy with an orbital buffer. Taking off the scratch x was really easy too with a terry towel by hand but the tech wax was more of a pain to take off leaving a thin residue. I needed to go over the tech wax a couple times to get the residue off. The end result was worth it though. I hope it lasts longer than a month.

Keep an eye on it and see if the swirls "re-appear" The NXT has fillers, so it will cover up any remaining swirls until the product begins to wear, usually in three to four weeks.
