Getting the TSX ready for a roadtrip this weekend to San Fancisco. Forcecast is for rain every day so expecting the wipers to get a workout. On my old Integra, after a while the wipers started skipping instead of wiping smoothly. Don't want the same thing to happen on my trip. Is there anything I can do to prepare for this?

Clean your wiper blades and then apply Rain-X to your windshield after a wash. I drove for about an hour in the rain on Sunday coming back from Mass and the wipers worked just fine.

I drive up North all the time, and I have not yet experienced any problems with my wipers in the rain...

Take a clay bar to the glass surface, and apply some 303 to the blades, wipe dry.

How much are wiper replacements?
Will I need to replace the whole assembly or just the rubber insert?
I have a little less than 40,000 miles on my TSX and I think it's about time to change my wipers, especially with all this rain down here.

I'm pretty sure you can just buy the oem rubber inserts. They shouldn't cost more than $8 total. Well, for my other car (camry) it was $3.80 each. Installing them isn't hard at all plus there are instructions included. Just make sure you take your old wipers in along with you to make sure you get the correct length.

i like to amonia on the wiper blades themselves.... you can go to your local food store and buy a quart of amonia for about 2 bucks. You want to buy straight amonia, no windex or anything like that... just buy the store brand. also just soak a paper towel with it and then run it along your blades..... and keep changing spots till you see no more black come off onto the towel..... u will see some much black crap come off and then they will work as good as new.....
