scratch fix? (pix)

prolly gonna get someone who posts and tells me to search, but i did do that and i didn't find any posts similar to these scratchs.

came home finding this by the left rear quarter panel... any ideas how to get this off? there's also about the length of a finger and a the width of half a pencil dent but barely noticable, if i can jsut get the scratchs off i'll be satisfied..

i tried turtlewax polish, mothers carnuba wax and some quick detail..

i got most of the smaller scratchs as seen off, but there are still 3 bigger ones and two of those chip looking things as seen on pic #2.

any suggestions woudl be greatly appreciated, thanks

I would clay the area, it might be some paint transfer. As well, I would try some Four star light or medium cut compound. It works wonders. Remember to start with the lightest stuff first. BTW, can you feel the scratches with you fingernail?

I couldnt agree more. The Body Shop line from Four Star is probably my most widely used polish(es)
And its nearly free!

Also take a look at this thread re: Quixx scratch repair system.

https://acurazine.com/forums/wash-wax-23/quixx-scratch-repair-system-371311/

Whereas the Quixx is applied by hand the cutting compound and polishes should be applied by a random orbital buffer.

One of the main rules is to start with the least aggresive and work you way up. This is the oder I am putting it in. this is how you would do it, :
Wash -> Four Star light cut -> buff off after hazing
If this does not take them out, then move up a step:
Wash -> Four Star Medium Cut Compound -> buff off after hazing -> Seal With Wax.

Four Star is the compound/polish, and it had no fillers in it so you know the paint will look good after many washes.

Let me add if you need to resort to the MCC, you may have to use a lighter polish afterwards to ward off any hazing which may happen (Normal occurence on dark colors) So in that case, wash, MCC, LCC, seal or wax.....
The Four Star Body Shop Compounds (polishes) are probably the best I have had the pleasure of using......

Didn't work :{. theres like 3 spots that looks like the scratch is pass the paint and the MCC, polish and wax couldn't get it off. Are there any products where i can "fill in" the scratch since its pretty deep?

post a picture of the results. Here is a good technique for deep scratches ad chips:

Yeah :\. I'm considering taking it to a body shop and have them do that sanding technique, afraid to do it myself.

The fourstar compound dids its job of getting almost all of the smaller scratchs, its just those damn 6 blobs that I can't seem to get rid of. It looks like it took out the first layer of paint and thru to the plastic eh :\?
