PC 7336 with Sonus Das Pad kit?

hi...i just have purchased Sonus Das pad kit from Autopia...however, i own 7336, not 7424. is it possible to use on 7336 even though it has different CW. 5" for 7424 and 6" for 7336?
without buying extra CW for 7336?
the DAS FlexPlate says it is a 5inch Velcro blacking plate fore PC7424.

thanks for reading.

I prefer the 6" CW for the 6" BP......Coastal Tools recommends it as well.....Some dont bother switching it out, and Im not sure about long term effects, but i just go with the flow.....

i'll eventually buy 6" kit with new pads...but since the pads are brand new, i'll use them.
one more question, what is the long term effect?
if i want to change the backing plate, i need to change the pads that fits a 6" backing plate, right?
thanks again.

I'm not sure what the long term effect is, but short term the PC definitely shakes more with a smaller CW than BP - it might effect the longevity of the actual PC too. I use a 5CW and a 5" BP and the shaking seems to be in check.

And yes, if you switch to a 6"BP you will need to switch to larger pads. And remember that as the pads get larger they get less aggressive, so for example a 7" yellow LC pad isn't as aggressive as a 6" yellow LC pad, which isn't as aggressive as a 4" LC yellow pad...

thank you for answering JackieO.
but in my situation, it is opposite.
5"BP with 6"CW.
still does that work?

thanks!

Your probably better off with a 6 CW and 5" BP, then vice versa.....
JackieO, I use a 6CW/6BP/6.75 or 7" pads all day long and would never even think of going back to a 5"BP with smaller pads......

Ya, you're better off with a bigger CW than backplate, definitely.

exceldetail - I didn't mean to infer that 7" pads were bad at all, just less aggressive than 6", which are less aggressive than 4". I use 7" pads a lot too.
