Paint Chips in Front Bumper!!!

I have a 2005 TL with a shade over 40,000 miles on it. My car is in incredible condition for a 4 year old car except for the front bumper. I have ALOT of rock chips in the front bumper and I am not sure what to do. I went to the dealership and got touchup paint and tried painting over a few of them to see if it would get rid of them but the chips are so deep it is noticelable where I touch it up, I even tried polishing where I touched it up but that didnt make any difference. Is there anything I can do or anything a bodyshop can do to avoid me having to repaint the entire bumper and that isnt that expensive?

It is difficult to tell how bad your bumper looks without a picture. Acura paint is very soft and does not hold up to small rocks and debris. Unless you invest in a clear bra, which I highly recommend, you have no choice but to paint the bumper every couple of years. Painting a bumper is not that expensive but it seems like a waste of money if the new paint is subjected to the same rock chips and debris impacts.

How much do you think it will cost to have the bumper repainted?

I don't know how much this will help, but on my 02 TL-S it would cost me rough $450 CAD to repaint mine so for your car I would estimate 3-400 US...I dunno what shops are like down in the states.

For a quality paint job you are looking at $400-500.

And for that amount, you could probably clear bra the whole front (hood, FB, etc) - won't help with your current situation, but something to consider in the future on new paint.
