I've used it, I liked it a lot. I liked how it worked on the plastic bits. Other polishes left wax on the plastic and it looked like crap, but the ice stuff looked like using armorall or something. But then again I'm an amature car polisher. I like to wax my car about once per month during the warmer months, I don't do any sort of every weekend touchups like some people do.

Most in Autopia gave it a major thumbs down .. even for an OTC wax.

And thats the difference between pros and amatures If you are the type who just likes your car to have the waxed look, it should work fine. If you are the type who likes to break out the clay bar every weekend, stip off old wax and use a staged waxing system, you are probably not going to like it at all.

i might have to give tw's ice a try then. i'm casual and amateur at best. i live in hawaii so carnuba doesn't last very long any way with the combination of the sun+tradewind rains+morning dew. i end up washing my car at least once every 2 weeks and have been spray waxing between full wax jobs. i usually wax at least once a month. since the "pro's" didn't like the durability, it ain't a big problem for me since i wax often anyway.

I'd try Megs NXT 2.0 before the Ice ... looks as good if not better .. easy on / off and way better life .. and its OTC and I think in the same $$ range.

meg's nxt 2.0 tech wax is awesome! considering its an OTC product, i came away very impressed. the pearl in the cgp car now has a nice blue sparkle and it shines through nicely. probably not as nice as some of your professional results, but, for this casual detailer, i came away satisfied with the looks. now i'll have to see how the durability is. will report back in a few weeks time to report results.

NXT 2.0 is what I have been using. It is a good product. Its some work around the badges to get it out but as far as protection, I've been happy with it.

A friend of mine turned me on to the Ice a few months ago. It really rejuvinated his car, but he was selling it, so durability wasn't an issue. I've had my CGP TSX for about a month now, and I was finally able to get it fully washed and waxed today for the first time. I've washed it 3 other times, and on two occasions got the hood done and it started to rain. I freaking hate Florida weather. The rain comes out of nowhere. Anyway, the Ice goes on very very easily. A friend of mine came over and we did her 07 Camry and my TSX. I was applying and she was following me a few minutes behind with the included microfiber towel and removing. I think it took us longer to wash than it did to wax. And both cars look fantastic (well, on the outisde. Her interior is in serious need of some work. Guess we know what I'll be doing next week.)

As far as durability, I got my hood about a week ago. Had to stop there due to rain. Anyway, the water beaded off nicely and you could tell where it had been waxed, and where it hadn't. Until we washed it. It was almost like the act of washing the car (just used plain old Blue Coral auto wash) removed the wax from the hood. Now, to be fair, I got some drops on the hood while I was removing the wax before so I don't know if that would have had anything to do with it. But I got a good, clean application this time around. I'll probably wash it again some time next week. I'm going out of town this weekend, so I'm sure it'll need it. I'll report back then about the durability afterwards. Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes. My buddy that turned me on to it only applies it about once a month, and he says it's fine. And he washes every 1 or 2 weeks.

I will say that it does an absolutely superb job on plastics. We did my roommate's Silverado a few weeks ago. Lots of that grey plastic on it surrounded by large amounts of chrome. It didn't leave any residue on the chrome, and it did have a very armor all-ish effect on the plastic. It looked great. There's just no other way to describe it. The plastic at the base of the windshield looked brand new when we were done with it (his truck is an 01.) And it brought some life back into the door seals. They're a bit more spongy than they were before we applied.

Sorry for the long post. I'll conclude by saying that it's extremely easy to apply, makes your plastic look great. But it doesn't seem to last beyond one or two washings. In Florida's harsh climate, you'll be rewaxing every two or three weeks.
