how do u remove tar from the paint?

how do u remove tar from the paint?

i was cleaning my car and i noticed some black gunk in my front of my car. wat is the best way to remove this?

go to your local car parts store and pick up some "bug and tar remover". That stuff works pretty well.

"googone" works good too. They sell it a lot of places, wal-mart, k-mart, auto stores...

In most cases, either regular paint thinner or naphta (lighter fluid) works fine...

I haven't found it yet, but if you see a Stoners product named Tarminator, try that. Have read good testamonials on the stuff.

I recomend Tarminator. For tar, grease, and road oil this does the trick fast and easy and it doesn't hurt the finish.

I have used Goo-Gone and it works pretty good...The question I have is; Do you guys rewax the area's that you cleaned with Goo-Gone?

WD 40 will work on tar too. Definitly re-wax. Anything that takes off tar will remove wax.
