Yeah that sounds right. I know the radioshack I was in they had about 6 million different resistors so I left after about 10 minutes realizing I really didn't have a clue wtf I was doing and found someone on here to send me the right one LOL.

Yes, F&R leds from ebay did the trick! I gotta say, I am very impressed how bright they are for the cost, insanely bright!
Thanks for all the advice and encouragement!

Rockstar, I sent you a PM regarding the problem you had with your switchbacks not alternating between the white and amber, but the whites staying on effectively washing out the amber. Just wanted some clarification on how you resolved your issue. I would really appreciate any suggestions as I'm having the same issues.
07 Type S with front 120 LED switchbacks in the front. I purchased the LEDs from the same seller on ebay

^^^That's it...thanks GP.
the rear LED's were a MUST for me since I soldered in the .24 ohm resistor in anticipation of having rear led's. I guess with normal bulbs on the back the voltage being provided was too strong.
To test if that's your issue, unplug your rear bulbs (will take you 2 minutes to get to em) and see if your switchbacks work. If so, order some rear bulbs.

HQ, glad you had success, man...nobody likes to put that much effort into anything and have to give up.
So, the mighty autolumination bulbs were the issue. Funny story...most of these products that are better marketed by vleds or autolumination are probably made at the same factory as the ebay ones. The trick is to find an ebay seller with 100% satisfaction that will back their product. Good customer service is important...but not having to ever deal with customer service because your leds work just fine from day 1 is even better.

If I ever need to replace my 120SMT LEDs from autolumination, I'm gonna get elefs hehe
I gotta say the 120s are bright and very effective during the day, though.

To be safe (and because they're cheap) I ordered 2 .22 ohm and 2 .12 ohm resistors from Frys, but they're on back order I should have read through some of the recent post to buy some off of you guys! I'm waiting to install my front switchbacks until I get those resistors.
If it goes according to plan and everything works, I'll let you all know!

^^^ most people just buy the relay....
can you imagine getting the relay manufactured for $5 and shipping another $5 and selling it for $20 ?
do you know how many people would jump on that ?
