Yesterday, we took the '03 TL in for the timing belt/water pump and for a front brake job with rotor lathing. Craig at C&M Honda Car Specialists, in Stafford, TX is AWESOME!
He gave me all sorts of tips, answered all my questions (I had about 1,000, since I've been DIY'ing both our Acuras for two years now), and he even gave me an OEM oil filter for the TSX, just 'cause I made him laugh. (I know it's a $5 part, it's just the principle of the thing.)
He is honest and didn't act like I was an idiot because I'm a woman (sadly, that has happened to me more than once). He's honest, never tried to sell us extra stuff, even said we didn't need new brake pads, only the rotors done... I'm telling, you this guy is sharp! I guess they both are: C&M stands for Craig and Mark (I didn't meet Mark). Anyway, the total bill was $844 with tax. That's far less than the dealers (one Acura, one Honda) and it seems in the same price range as others on here have posted here, if not less.
Having been on AZine for a few years and having learned how to DIY a number of different items on the TL and TSX, I'd like to think I know enough about the cars to know when someone's trying to snow me. He never did.
C&M was a referral from friends who have been taking all of their Hondas (and their kids' Hondas) to C&M since at least 1991. They've been in business a while. And I can't say enough good things about them. And no, I don't work there. I just met the guy yesterday.
You can PM for their number if you'd like. They're also on Yelp.

wow!... you were driving pretty far to get your car worked on... I take my 2001 CLS to the Honda Car Shop at 18623 Kuykendahl here in Spring... Had my timing belt done there about a year ago and they were great! He also was a great help when we bought our son a 1993 Accord coupe a few months ago... owner/mech was George and the number is 281-376-4552. I will be going to get my tranny fluid changed there in the next few weeks too...

I live in sugar land and work at richmond ave and the beltway.
PM me your number and we can catch lunch sometime.
I would love a generator but plan on selling the house pretty soon. I know the return is good but not sure I could make my money back if I sell it in a year or two. Last time I looked it was going to be about 6-8K installed (legit natural gas entire house).
It would be pretty sweet though, because my house is the first house you see turning into the neighborhood but it is about 1/4 or so back. If it was all lite up in a dark neighborhood I would be baller
Brent... glad u and the family were ok... theses black outs are for the birds!
To all of my peeps... I am about to hook it up... I'm gonna be working about 2 more Saturdays this month too... and I get off btw 1 and 2... so maybe a saturday mini lunch meet one of these days before I'm down there full time... I feel like a frakin bird out of a cage!
