That sucks, your welcome to come over and laugh at us. I can relate though. I had another knee surgery 5 weeks ago. Wasn't as bad as my initial one. Still have a weak right knee and still doing therapy. Dr trimmed out some ligament, the repair in one spot didn't work. I can lift, but have to keep my knee from twisting.

I'm hoping we can slide it down the ramp, off the truck. Putting it up on the truck is going to suck. I should be able to get about 6 guys together at my place to take it off. The more the better!

So. I have the infamous clunking A-Arm Bushing. My mechanic quoted me $240 to replace both left and right bushings. Parts, labor, tax included. Sound reasonable?

I can buff/polish some scratches on your car or something, now or later sometime. Can give you some high quality wax in a bottle too.

PM if you can help. I'm near Westhiemer and Dairy Ashford.

rolling blackouts in Houston.
ERCOT has asked the power companies in Texas to initiate rolling blackouts in order to help keep power flow working at optimum.
hmm but the stop lights do work, so you must be right about the SUV.

we had one last nite arnd 11pm... sucked b/c the house alarm went off...

... Thursday weather... rain turning into sleet and snow in the late afternoon... Thursday nite: snow with 1 to 2 inches of accumulation and then another inch of snow on Friday... and all of this with wind chill temps between 1 and 17 degrees... it is 17 with the wind chill rite now where I am... feet are cold... I am not happy...

BTW.. who has snow tires on their ride?

who even knows how to drive in the snow and ice?

does the city of Houston even have salt or sand trucks?

Houston...this is overpass heaven....

THE WOODLANDS...TOMBALL...TRINITY...WEIMAR...WHARTON.. .WILLIS... WINNIE 1144 AM CST WED FEB 2 2011 ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON/GALVESTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM APPROACHING FROM THE WEST WILL COMBINE WITH INCREASING MOISTURE AND COLD TEMPERATURES IN THE ATMOSPHERE TO GENERATE A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN ACROSS SOUTHEAST TEXAS THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE AREA...AND SPREAD AREA WIDE BY EARLY EVENING. THE WINTRY MIX WILL CONTINUE THURSDAY NIGHT THEN TAPER OFF AROUND MID MORNING FRIDAY. A MIXTURE OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED EAST OF A LINE FROM MATAGORDA TO DOWNTOWN HOUSTON TO RYE IN LIBERTY COUNTY. OVER THE COASTAL SECTIONS OF BRAZORIA COUNTY...AND MOST OF GALVESTON...CHAMBERS...AND LIBERTY COUNTIES THIS COULD END UP A PRIMARILY ICE EVENT WITH SIGNIFICANT GLAZING ON ROADWAYS. TO THE NORTH AND WEST OF THIS LINE...A MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET ARE EXPECTED...WITH ALL SNOW ACROSS THE NORTHWEST HALF OF SOUTHEAST TEXAS. SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. IN THE FREEZING RAIN THREAT AREA...ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO ONE-TENTH OF AN INCH ARE EXPECTED. THIS INCLUDES THE SOUTHERN AND EASTERN PORTIONS OF THE METRO HOUSTON AREA AND THE GALVESTON AREA AS WELL. SURFACE TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID 20S TO LOWER 30S THROUGH THE DURATION OF THE EVENT. THIS MEANS THAT ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ELEVATED SURFACES LIKE BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES...ARE MUCH MORE LIKELY TO ICE OVER THAN DURING THE EVENTS SOUTHEAST TEXAS EXPERIENCED LAST WINTER. ROADWAYS WILL LIKELY BECOME ICY AND HAZARDOUS THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY MORNING. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW...SLEET...OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS. && $$

i dont have snow tires, and i doubt anyone does... all seasons are not worth a shit in the snow.

ive driven in the snow and ice before, a bit tricky, but do-able

and i doubt houston has salt trucks... ittl be a mess if it end up snowing and sleeting.

And btw.... In case y'all have any doubt, front wheel drive cars will be better off in these slick conditions than rear wheel drive.

Good luck everybody!

^^^ Thanks man. It's going to look nice once the wood is re-stained and I replace the cushion pillows. Already looking better since I cleaned the water line on the hull.

I can only wish the tub was ready to go right now. Being from Wisconsin I know how awesome they are in the cold, can you say STEAM!

Sucks cause I'm doing landscaping in the back area where the tub is going.
